Fine, from the point in the link that I provided that says "Here is a full transcript of the exchange about Obama and his race"
I'm not sure what you want from this point.
quote:
TODD: Why does President Obama have a hard time in Louisiana?
LANDRIEU: One of the main reasons is because his energy policies are really different than ours. I mean, we're a pro-production state. We wanna drill almost anywhere. People believe that it's an opportunity for Americans to become energy self-sufficient.
TODD: But if the Democratic party isn't there, you say President Obama, Harry Reid isn't there. He's not there is he?
LANDRIEU: I've worked with four majority leaders. I"ve worked with Trent Lott, I've worked with Bill Frist, and I've gotten along with everybody and tried to get the job done for the state of Louisiana. One of the reasons that the president's so unpopular is because HE put the moratorium on off-shore drilling. remember? After Macondo. And our state was furious about that. Now he could have shut down the BP operations but he didn't, he shut down the whole Gulf. When you shut down the whole gulf of Mexico it puts a lot of people here at risk and out of business. That's number one.
I'll be very very honest with you. The South has not always been the friendliest place for African-Tmericans. It's been a difficult time for the president to present himself in a very positive light as a leader. It''s not always been a good place for women to present ourselves. It's more of a conservative place. So we've had to work a little bit harder on that, but you know, the people trust me, I believe. Really they do. Trust me to do the right thing for the state.
I'm not sure what you want from this point.

JESUS CHRIST.
Your link starts with her talking about energy policy.
You can't even make up this kind of cognitive dissonance.
You're absolutely right; the full quote is much better.

Still waiting for the whole quote to be posted, but I can't help you if you don't think white people in Louisiana having a black president is an issue for them.
How can you prove this? Is there a study or something that you are holding on to that proves this assertion?

"Why does President Obama have a hard time in Louisiana?"
"There are any number of reasons but, you know, one of the main reasons is because his energy policies are really different than ours. I mean, we are a pro-production state. Then she added the factual statement you guys keep posting.

Walking the Earth
She explains why Louisianians are against him, for the most part, and adds that the South hasn't always been a great place for black politicians to win elections or be popular.
Bobby Jindal won in the same way that Hermain Cain would have won Louisiana. Parroting what Republicans say. Blanco won because she was a moderate and couldn't be used to stir up the right wing base.

You're totally wrong and I'm going to explain it simply.
The question was about Obama having a hard time in La. Therefore, the answer is about NOW... 2014. The idea that she was talking about historical racism is stupid because blacks had a hard time in the north historically.
She is implying that Obama is disliked NOW in La. because people in the South NOW are racist.
If you insist that she's trying to give us a history lesson then she is not answering the question and is a total fool.

Is La racist or not?
If a black democrat doesn't get elected in La because he supports democrat policies...racist.
If a black republican in La gets elected because he supports republican policies...La still racist but the black candidate got elected because he had conservative views in a conservative state.

Yeah, there are plenty of white guys out there with conservative policies so if Louisiana is still a "racist state" or at least enough of one to move the needle, then why are they (and hypothetically would) electing non-white guys in the first place?
And a woman Senator, what, three times already?

The north must be really racist. They elect tons of white guys.

Nationally, Obama's approval rating was 73% when he took office. It's now barely more than half of that.
I guess a whole lot of people have become racist over the last 6 years, because God forbid it could simply be that Obama sucks.
Edit - I truly feel sorry for anybody who is too stupid to see what this is all about. His is about a despicable, desperate old woman willing to stoop to the lowest level in order to save her sorry arse.

Her ads say she is one of us, but we all know better.
She is a national Dem, arrogant and dismissive of ordinary citizens.

The race card normally comes out when there is no other card to play. An act of desperation.

And if you think it's any different than white people in Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine than I can't help you either. You seem to have a problem with truth and logic. The full quote is far worse than the last part.

By now, maybe the spotlight needs to be focused on the collection of miscreants who are STILL supporting Obama.
What are the various agendas in play that would propel these people to remain solidly behind such an abysmal failure like Obama?
Kinda strange that nobody ever dares to peek under that rock, isn't it?

frick her.
She deserves to lose in a blowout for these despicable comments about people that were gracious enough to choose her as their senator.

Now, we are dishonest if we don't agree with Mary. Truly desperate!
Surely there is a way she can pander to the uneducated blacks without pissing off all of the whites.
