Tell me about the Hard Rock Punta Cana

Anyone been? Good time? Anything I should know before I go?
Also, is it worth it to get the rock star level room package?

I went one time and played a lot of blackjack and ended up ultimately getting in a fight with the pit boss who didn't speak English very well and then the authorities showed up and I thought I was fricked. My GF was screaming because she was drunk and then some dude who wasn't even involved said, "Someone shut that drunk bitch up!" and I, being a little drunk myself, hauled off and hit the guy while the police were talking to the Casino staff about my altercation with the pit boss and at the end of the whole thing we opened the door, got on the floor and everybody walk like a dinosaur.

I went on a free trip. Did not like and would not go back. People were friendly but casino, food, and drinks were mediocre. Also, if you do go don't take the ATV tour.

We did our Honeymoon at Paradisus Punta Cana at whatever the top level is and it was fricking awesome. We can not wait to go back, everyone (locals) we met there was awesome. The only negative is the amount of rude European fricks that vacation there

Went on my honeymoon there in 2013. Loved it and would definitely go back. The food was better than expected and much better than some other all-inclusive resorts I've been to. Very clean and the staff was relatively helpful. Spa was incredible and I would definitely recommend it. Overall an enjoyable experience.
Make sure you print out confirmation of your dates though. My only complaint was when we got there they said we were a day late and were expecting us to leave a day early. After a discussion that wasn't easy due to some language barrier I was able to get it corrected.

If the rock star level is the one that gets the butler then that's what we did. He was very helpful in getting anything booked that we wanted.

The Hard Rock is a great resort but very large.
A little tip goes a long way with the bartenders.
Also, buy your tourist card $10 on line before you go to avoid a the 1hr wait once you arrive.

This is great advice. I easily saved myself two hours in line at the airport by purchasing it online beforehand. The people I bypassed were kind of upset they didn't do the same.

Had a great time in Punta Cana, but didn't go to the Hard Rock.
It is WAY out there, pretty close to the Excellence, which is supposed to be a way nicer place.
Just depends on what you're looking for. I'm sure its more of a party place than most Punta Cana resorts.
