.I thought the avengers sucked. Not overrated, not meh, not ok...I thought it was a transformersesque turd.

well you are entitled to you opinion and all, but since you can't even place Coulson, I doubt you paid much attention.

No I didnt. I think the highlight is "I'm always angry"

That's about all I remember

Nothing about the plot made any sense to me. And I watched all of the single movies. i don't want to spend the next 30 minutes explaining why it didn't though

But no, I forgot about that guy. I remember he had something in his coat now. I remember "I'm always angry" I remember hulk smashing Loki around

That's about it to be honest. That and the whole black tie affair that brought the heroes together

You're the guy who "watched all the movies" but can't remember who Coulson is. I'm not sure how pointing that out is being an obsessed fanboy.
But lets be honest here - thinking Transformers, with all that Sector 7 nonsense, was better than the Avengers is a laughable opinion. And I grew up LOVING transformers.

Loki's plot was a Xanatos gambit. Ultimately, he wanted to get back to Asgard so he could take over and get the infinity stone/gauntlet for Thanos . Actually winning and ruling Earth would have just been a cool bonus.

they're essentially the same movie, only one bad guy has a clear motivation and his plan isn't nonsense.

I think it sucks, why is that such a problem for you? I didn't say "only retards who like splosions and lights go to these movies"

I may actually go see Ultron, who knows? Well I do. I know it will suck

There is speculation that he might now be a Life Model Decoy.

All we really know is he was injected with Kree blood and they did this shite to his brain.

During the operation he was screaming out for them to let him die. Afterwards they tried wiping his memory of what happened but he eventually gets it back.

Aaaaah

And to prove I'm not an anti marvel dickwad, I've seen guardians of the Galaxy 100000 times by now

that movie handles the tone perfectly, while the other ones are a bit everywhere (all of this shite started with Spider-Man in an elevator)

Apparently Norton was not a fan of the final product of The Incredible Hulk and refused to even plug the film.

I believe the wiki has more info on this.

I just read it was the time commitment

Wanted to do other movies and not be burdened

I thought he helped write the script for hulk. I thought it was a tight, Fastly paced movie kind of like quantum of solace

The nice version is he was too busy.

The mean version is he wanted more control over the script and Marvel told him to piss off.

It seems crazy to think that he would have signed on for Hulk only expecting to play him once so the latter may be more likely.

It's really all a matter of personal taste and what a person brings to the table in terms of preferences and experience.

I am admittedly a marvel fan from way back to the 70's. I would get what were the core books back then: Spidey, Daredevil, Fantastic Four, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and Avengers. And Avengers always was my favorite. So I guess it was kind of inevitable that I would either like the movie or be bitterly disappointed by it. Luckily for me it was the former.

For some reason the Nolan Batman movies left me flat. I think I may have sat through each of them once and I've tried to rewatch on a few occasions since then but they simply don't interest me. I've enjoyed some of the DC cartoons (JLA, etc., even the old Superfriends) and the early Batman and Superman movies (Christopher Reeves era for Supes and Jack Nicholson as Joker for Bats). But even though I know I'm in the minority the Nolan movies just didn't appeal to me.

Exactly. For example I love Hemingway and Dostoevsky stuff but can't stand D.H. Lawrence, am bored by Dos Passos and only find James Joyce pretty good. Whey this is I have no idea but it's just personal taste and preferences I guess.

I don't judge people based on the movies they like. I know morons who love the "sophisticated" golden age of cinema, and very intelligent people that go to midnight viewings of transformers

I just like adventure, fantasy and sci fi...and as it so happens I think the best films in those genres are some of the best movies ever made

Empire
Wrath of khan
2001
Alien/s
Jurassic Park
ET

I don't like art house, or Oscar bait movies. That doesn't make me an idiot, and liking those doesn't make you cultured or sophisticated

I like almost anything if you can make me care about what's happening on the screen
