re: 8-16 Just Won't Cut It Against Bama

One thing we know is Les won with his type of game against Ole Miss so we will see a very similar game plan as long as it is close. He beat #3 so he thinks he can beat anyone with that exact offensive philosophy. He might be right i dunno, but we can't turn it over 4 times.

I've come to this realization and you should too:
It doesn't matter who the frick plays quarterback. We have a 4 headed monster running behind one of the biggest, baddest, and hottest O Lines in the nation.
Screw throwing the ball. Let's just keep shoving it up everyone's arse because no one can stop it.
95 yards.. In 12 plays... All runs.

But if you sit here and tell me that we'll beat Bama going 8-16 with two picks you're sorely b mistaken.
Really............................?
In 2011 Jefferson / Lee went 9-17 with two interceptions AT BRYANT DENNY, and LSU won that game 9-6. WTF are you talking about?

So hotshot, tell us WHY that won't cut it. I want to hear about WHY you think Bama has a better defense, or offense?
You do realize that Tenn ran for zero yards net on Ole Miss.....Yet Tenn ran for what, 180 yards on Alabama? Doesn't sound like a stout D against the run to me. Also, even Alabama fans will tell you they are concerned about their secondary. Guarantee you Ole Miss has a better secondary than them.
Who has Alabama beaten? Furthermore, they have played horribly on the road....scoring 10 points on Ole Miss, 14 at Arkansas, and hell, having to hold on at Tenn.
As other's said here...you are suspect. Either trolling, or a guy that loves that saban dick.

This is correct

If the passing game is not better LSU will lose and i just don't think Jennings can do much better.
If Bama get up on us IT WILL HAVE TO BE BY 17+ for Harris to see the field.
I wish that CLM would have learned from $abun and 1/9, that the best chance is to alter the identity and surprise the other team.
Stubbornly Miles won't do that. But i guess if i was making CLM's money i would do what he does to win 8-10 games a year can keep my job.

ok, will be interesting to read again since your predictions of the Ole Miss game were so dead on....

While I tend to agree with you, you will not do any good arguing that point here because LSU won this week.
8-16 with two picks and a dropped pick six was good enough to beat Ole Miss because the defense gave us its greatest performance in nearly a year (since A&M 2013).
If your defense is able to completely shut down an opponent, then a 10 point performance that had very little to do with the QB is fine.
Now, some might say that you should not rely on the defense playing at the level we saw on Saturday as a strategy and that you probably should have (if possible) a legitimate passing game to go with the running game just in case.
But then we will be in a "I told you so" situation, which is unappealing. As a Tiger fan who thinks we have the wrong guy under center, I want to be wrong every game we play. And I root for Jennings to perform well. It's a difficult spot for any fan to be in. So best you leave it unsaid and hope and pray that eventually the coach changes his opinion even though we're winning in spite of the QB. That for sure won't happen until Spring 2015 at this point. Accept that and enjoy the rest of the season.

Agreed, we will not win if jennings cant pass consistently

Im sure you weren't however, you probably even called it, since you know Miles so well.

Whens the last time we beat bama
Oh yeah, it was a 9-6 OT fluke with Miles best team ever. They are setup to stop the run. We will not be able to rush on them like ole miss. Anyone that says otherwise should see the last three games we played against saban.

Let me guess............you wrote the same thing about Ole Miss too didn't you?
And about Kentucky
And about Florida
And about Wisconsin
There is a lot to be said for consistency I suppose

These type posts will become more and more frequent as game time approaches. The week and spineless posters must express their fear and felate their hero or they lose focus (even if in a roundabout way).

Oh yes I have been waaayyyyyy wrong.
I thought Kentucky might beat LSU
I certainly didn't see our D holding Ole Miss to 7 (Im sure you didn't either)
The point is without a balanced attack on O, LSU will not win another MNC
Also, just so you know, I am thrilled they won. It was great.
