A couple of questions:
1) It's commercial software?
2) It's "nonattibutable" but also "proprietary"?
SShh! You're fricking with the narrative.

The fact that this unnamed government agency used e-mail spam to get it on her computer would appear to be odd as well.

that didn't take long

sure can't. but ms. Atkinson isn't the one with the reputation as a lying, law breaking strongarm.

Here's the full quote:
quote:The source Atkinson is quoting seems to be using the word "proprietary" in the sense of it's part of the MO of a particular govt agency.
“a sophisticated entity that used commercial, nonattributable spyware that’s proprietary to a government agency: either the CIA, FBI, the Defense Intelligence Agency or the National Security Agency.”
Laying aside technology nomenclature for a moment, what do you think about the allegations Atkinson makes?

Personally, I don't think people would have been jacking with her personal laptop if there wasn't something to where she was headed with some of her work.
I'm sure it was just a rogue agent though.

Irrelevant based on potentially flawed adjective. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it, that does not make sense.

BOOM and that source “Number One” works for one of those 3 letter agencies,( at least that's what the article indicated ) so he/she would know what spyware those guys all use, hence proprietary is the proper word.
I added the quotes from the article but yall beat me to it, oh well, they are there along with my usual Obama is POS.

In my experience working directly with people in the news including anchors and reporters, their laptops are filled with viruses and spyware because they tend to read all of their e-mails with less caution than an average person would.

quote:Nonattributable - means that you cannot connect one thing to anything else.

Proprietary - Clearly identifiable as belonging to or related to another thing
Commercial - Made for a profit, for sale.

Spinning - what 99% of liberals do daily to support Obama policies, especially after the claims they made against his predecessor.
Or maybe Atkinson was buying heroin on deep web?

Interesting. What experience do you have with people in the news and their laptops?

If I make a piece of software and sell it (commercial) and that software and it's code, rights, etc is bought by some three letter agency (proprietary), and I wrote my code so as it is not referenced, a one of custom with no identification (nonattributable), then it certainly fits.
But you dont write code, so I dont expect you to understand that simple explanation. We go further if you like, but you're already out of your depth.

And you cannot say something is non-attributable and then make a claim that it is. And you are saying that it is commercial based on those same non-identifiable attributes? You are jumping through hoops and failing miserably.

proprietary and nonattributable are not mutually exclusive.
For example, if you have a piece of custom code, it is non attributable, but if sold (rights, code, etc) then that is also proprietary.

The fact you couldnt even understood what I wrote, then wrote this, makes this comment:

bullshite.
What do you program in, champ?
