Is it ok for your girlfriend to go to an Ex's family member funeral?

This guy's grandmother died and my girlfriend felt like she had to go. I don't understand why? She sent flowers already. The ex's mom showed up at her work yesterday and she told her she was sorry but will not be able to attend because of out of state plans with me.
Well, this morning comes and she now decides she has to go. Out of state plans with my family are now changed. Will leave tomorrow. I could not go with her to the funeral due to short notice because the funeral is 90 minutes away. I thought sending flowers and speaking to his mom was enough. Her ex's family are friends to her family. But, I know her ex emails her but she says she does not respond. I'm not really sure what to think about the situation. I guess it is not a big deal.
Would you care if your significant other wanted to attend an ex's family member funeral?

No, not really. Especially since you said they were family friends.
Changing her mind and forcing you and your family to change your plans is bullshite though.

funerals are not for the dead. They are for the relatives.
She is going for the ex. Death is nature's aphrodisiac

Of course it's ok. Sounds like she is close with that family, you shouldn't have a problem with it

Her ex boyfriend or exhusband/fiance.
It makes a big difference.

So the guy just keeps emailing and emailing without a single response?
Ya right.

There's no strict yes or no answer to whether this is okay. You made this thread because you don't trust her. Is that mistrust justified? You have to figure that out.

Because she hasn't let go completely.

Because "ex" contacted her overnight.

And you really believe that?
Just wait until tomorrow when the 90 minute trip is too long for her to drive back and she thinks she better "get a hotel room" and stay over.

Nothing wrong at all with her going.

You either have trust issues, insecurity issues, or both. Girls hate that shite.
If you give her a hard time, the end is near.

There's definitely something going on. Guys don't continue to email girls that don't respond. They talked yesterday, that's why she is now going.
