Putting on a brave face =/= being content. If they admit to themselves they have not shot in the playoffs without homefield advantage then they've already lost. That means aiming for the division title, which this year is easier than usual to reach.

Drew, you're 2-4 and you have very high expectations for this year. You bet your third nut this is a must-win game.

God, a 6-9-1 Panthers team could win the division at this pace.

if you really believe this about Brees, you're a lost cause

He's right. Carolina game is way more important than Packers game.

Way more. Like 3 times more.

If we beat Green Bay and lose to Carolina it's a disaster and our odds of winning the division are like 10%*

If we lose to Green Bay and beat Carolina our odds of winning the division are like 45%*

* - these stats pulled out of my arse but based on educated guesstimates and Kentucky windage

Considering the fact that we beat Carolina twice, we'll have a minimal 4 wins to their 3 wins, this isn't a "must win"

They're not. Wouldn't surprise me a bit to see the division go 0-4 this Sunday.

If you don't think every game is a must win from here on out when you're 2-4, I don't know what to tell you.

It is really important.

But we can lose this game and likely still be right behind Carolina with 2 games left against them.

So, by definition, it isn't a must win.

Yes, indeed he is. When he came to New Orleans, and thought he could win a Super Bowl is when the delusions started, if you ask me.

Asking whether games are must-win or not is so idiotic.

pretty sure we'd still get 2 1st rounders for him, at the very least.

Maybe very low ones... Maybe. It's hard to gauge his value.

You see the Panthers winning out, let alone this weekend? I don't. The must win games are Carolina. Y'all are the only two still in play.

Are we mathematically eliminated yet? No.

But once again, you go to 2-5, I doubt this team sees .500 all year. We might be able to win the division at 7-9, but we're not doing anything in the playoffs. Should he come out and say this a "must win"? Probably not. But I don't want to hear him say it's not either.

Disagree with that. If we win the division at 7-9 we would be playing at home in the playoffs. We could easily be heading into Arizona or Dallas or Green Bay in the divisional round and who knows what could happen?
