Drew Brees needs to tell people to R-E-L-A-X.

that worked REALLY well for Rodgers.

Well technically he's right. We're only 1 back in the division. Even if we lose, Carolina is playing a desperate Seattle team this week, and Atlanta is playing Detroit in London. There is a very good chance both of them lose and we are still only one game back.

But you don't really want to hear that from the leader of the team at 2-4. That's the kind of stuff fans should be telling themselves.

And there's the problem.. our leader is content where they're at right now. Rather than thinking every game is critical and a "must-win" he's just sitting comfortably in 2nd within the division.

That fire and drive from 2009 is noticeably gone.

I love Drew and all but his post-game comments need to stop. Last Monday, when asked about the interception and blown lead he responded with, "winning in the NFL is hard."

The Packers might be the best team we play all season.

If this is a must win, then every game is a must win.

Every media person that went to Saints camp crowned them Super Bowl champs already. They all patted themselves on the back and figured they just needed to walk out on the field and win. In hindsight, things couldn't be farther from that reality now. I think all of them are getting a cold shower in terms of where they really are and where they thought they were. The question is can they do anything about it? First 3 quarters of the Lions game looked like they got the message. The last 5 minutes though went right back to 2014 normal.

Can we win the division with 6-10 record?

If not, this is a must win game.

Did you actually read what he said?

quote:

"There's no must-win games until they're must-win games," Brees said Wednesday, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. "It's important. It's really important, but nobody needs that kind of pressure."

It's a must win because if we start dropping home games we are in a really bad spot

Two things:

If he says it is a must win, does that mean we play better?

If he says it is a must win, and then we lose, what message does that send to team rest of season?

He knows it is a must win, losing at home would solidify the meltdown that is this season. But he isn't going to say it is must win publicly, because the team doesn't need any more pressure.

That's such a "union" thing to say lol.....Maybe I'm still just sour from the Lions game and our season in general, but that doesn't sound like a confident leader and quarterback.....To me it sounds like he really does not think we will win so he is not saying it's a "must win" so that way if we lose a "must win" then everyone will start to really see how the season would look very gloomy

Not by any means do I want to, but I'm just curious what trade value Drew Brees has today. It would be really hard for a gm to put a value on him right now.

you are correct, every home game is must win from here on out since we have shown an inability to win on road.

pretty sure we'd still get 2 1st rounders for him, at the very least.
