Treat the interior of the home and get rid of the fleas on the pet. You can dip the dog or bathe him with a flea shampoo. Get the dog on a flea control program thereafter. Think Advantix or something similar.

Buy a couple of the bombs. Cover your TVs up and set off the bombs and leave the house for a couple of hours.

If the dog is covered in fleas, give the dog a Capstar. It will kill all the fleas on the dog within 30 minutes to an hour. Then, like another poster said, put the dog on a flea medication like Trifexis.

Had them bad one time. Tried everything. Eventually put some frontline on the dog and never saw another flea.

Nuke the dog with a Capstar, then spray your house with Siphitrol Plus II, then use either Revolution or Comfortis.

Ovitrol Plus for Dogs

TalStar

Safari Flea Comb

Precor 2000

Comfortis

** Link to website above for Comfortis is for overseas, however I have used them and they are 100 % legitimate and price is considerably less than local or 1-800-Pet-Meds.

Treat the dog with flea meds (Frontline or similar), spray the house with IGR and adult insecticide. Then vacuum everywhere in the house several times a day for the next two weeks. Empty the canister into a plastic bag and tie up each time you vacuum. You can put flea powder in the vacuum canister to help kill the ones that in in there.

It takes diligence. Good luck.

Treat the home for fleas. Our dogs are only on flea medicine (comfortis) from March - October. The fleas usually die down during the winter months. Plus it gets expensive for 3 dogs to be on it year round, also, it gives their bodies a break from being on it. Its not the most healthy thing for them to be on year round.

I use comfortis, it's pretty legit and a lot easier than trying to squirt that crap on their necks.

Diatomaceas earth, prolly spelled it wrongish. It is non toxic, works awesome. Go to a vet or Farm feed store. I bought a one gallon container at Dodge City in Dinky Sprangs for about 15 bucks. Start with that. Take your pet to the vet. If you have a flea problem, you will soon have a worm problem from your pet eating the fleas.

Dealt with this twice unfortunately. If your home is carpeted then buy the flea powder stuff and sprinkle it like hell all over the place, generously. Vacuum it all up, repeat, and vacuum some more. The first time I tried a lot of things before the powder and the second time I went straight for the powder and vacuum combo and took care of business.

Fog bomb the house, wash the dog, then put dog on Comfortis (sp?) tabs. You can buy them from your vet. Stuff has worked on my dog for past six years.
