If I remember correctly he's sent other posters fishing items since they enjoy the outdoors with their kids. It has nothing to do with what you, her, or your dad is using.

I think you took it the wrong way.. I've seen a couple times on here when people post pics of getting their kids involved he sends some baits out to them. I don't think he was hating on the rod/reel.. I think he genuinely wanted to send you some baits for your kid to fish with.

And that's a great pic. I remember my last fishing trip with my dad and son. Will never forget it. Just hate it was the last one I get.
