2007?? What was so great about RP in 2007 compared to JW last year?? Show me some stats that make him so great. And the SECCG was a fluke. Not even in the same area code. Do some research. I agree RP would have been a better option than Lee but you can't tell me RP and JW are close to being equal players.

Perrilloux, who, despite his wayward road, was still good enough to make it to the NFL
Remind me again what team does or has he played for?

New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars
Played in the pre-season and remained on practices squads for a couple seasons. Probably as successful as Jamies will be.

The issue of hanging with known drug dealers and/ or criminals is debatable when take in consideration that RP was from a crime ridden and drug distribution area. That drug dealer or criminal could have been his cousin, brother, or best friend from high school. How does a person that was born and raise in that environment not associate with known criminals?

I think Les would keep Winston on the team until it became abundantly clear that they couldn't hide the money-for-autographs any longer.
And to all those who keep saying how much they "respect coach Miles". Remember, this is the guy who was too big of a coward to publicly make his own decision in regards to JH. Instead, he hid behind his players through a team vote. A vote in which he 100% knew the outcome beforehand.

The team saying they wanted him back didn't mean they had the total decision.
If they voted no, he's gone because he would be a distraction. Since they voted yes, he received a punishment from the coaches and was allowed to rejoin.
Les hid behind nothing. That retarded line has been played out across the nation because of a media blitz when word came out about a vote. I can guarantee that every team in the NCAA has a say whether they want a player back to their team or not.

RP was light years better than Winston and yes Les would have dismissed him already.

Les made no indications that said otherwise. All he said was that it was put to a team vote.

You know damn well there wasn't a shot in hell that he got voted off the team, and so did Les. That's why he put it up to a team vote. He was trying to have his cake and eat it too.

THAT is a retarded line. Again, no team is going to vote one of their players off. Outside of murder, child rape, and a few other absurdly egregious acts, there is nothing that would prevent a team from voting a player back on. Its up to the guy making MILLIONS of dollars to make those types of decisions, not the 18-21 year old kids.
The team vote thing was embarrassing. If you cant see that, then you are completely jaded.
ETA: Also, for what its worth, I thought JH should have been allowed back on the team. I just wanted our head coach to come out stand by his decision.

Not jaded, just not so ignorant to think the team had the whole decision. Les rarely gives indication of anything that he does.
I agree no team would likely vote off a player, but it gives them ownership, which is a part of belonging to a team.
JH was punished, which is what so many like to overlook when the "team vote" subject is talked about.

I know Miles is good to his players, however with this much attention after this many red flags.. I believe Winston would have been benched after the f her right in the p comment and then with this current investigation Winston would again be held out.

Les would invite him over to dinner with the family at Cain's....and pat him on the buttocks saying, it'll get better.

If RP would have ever played at the level of JW there would be no way Les would have dismissed him. Les probably weighed his risk versus reward and came to the conclusion that RP wasn't worth the risk.
This is the most retarded thing I've read.on here in days. Truly epicly retarded

I say yes and I look at Ryan P. being dismissed for less. One reason I really respect our coach.
Miles gave RP and TM7 plenty of rope before he yanked them off the team. Cost RP an NFL career had he not been released. Some guys just never get it until it's too late. Glad to see TM7 end up well sad that RP didn't. Credit to Miles for being very tolerant up to a point. JW would be long gone.

Let look at an imaginary situation and evaluate possible outcomes.
Apparently with an arrogant and entitled attitude a student had sex with a woman that seemingly changed her mind about participating, failed to appear at a hearing that others did go to and accepted their minimal punishments, borrowed a few crab legs from a grocery store, yelled some obscene comments in a very public place, allegedly involved in a BB gun fight that resulted in broken windows at an apartment complex, generously gave over 2,000 signatures so others could make profit and did so for no gain.
In addition this student has caused a university to become under a federal review and possibly be liable in a civil action suit.
Because of all the students innocent actions two lawyers have been hired to represent the student.
Conclusion:
How could anyone even entertain the thought of dismissing this student?
Wouldn’t it be great if all of the thousands of students everywhere would follow this exemplary model?

I don't think so
1) he was never convicted of rape
2) verbal abuse wasn't that bad.
3) he hasn't be charged with anything else yet. 4) the disciplinary hearing happens all the time in a university it isn't that big of a deal. But the media is on him like a hawk.
add the rest of the story...
detained for an on-campus mischief issue for shooting cars with a pellet gun.
Accused of rape or some serious sexual crime. He refused to talk to the police and they never came back to talk to him and they did not pursue the case despite the plaintiff still wanting to press charges. Now the whole FSU is caught up in a Title IX fiasco.
Since his Heisman award...
Arrested for stealing crab legs at the Publix.
Brought up for student conduct code violations for standing on a table in the union hollering obscenities.
REAL honorable citizen there that you would want to put on your resume of pupils...
And add that he didn't win the Heisman because he was such a special athlete. His team was loaded with talent and they carried his arse.
