Tulane Student escapes knife attack near campus

The victim, whose age and gender were not provided in a crime bulletin, was walking on Oak Street near the corner of Pine Street at around 4:20 a.m. when a man wearing a white t-shirt and wielding some kind of knife approached, police said.

The student was able to break free from the assailant and run away, police said. No injuries were reported.
