Wife and I are planning to go to cabo mid/late November or early December. Never been before so looking for recommendations between a few resorts we picked. We have a timeshare trade to use so don't have every option down there to pick from. So if anyone has stayed at one of these before and can offer some advice that would be great.
Playa Grand Resort
Hacienda del mar vacation club
Fiesta Americana Grand Los cabos
Secrets Puerto Los cabos golf and spa

They did just get hammered with a hurricane. Might want to check that out before booking.

Can't vouch for any of those. We always stay at Villa La Estancia because friend owns a place there.
Airport is open
Hurricane cleanup is moving fast. Everything near Marina and Lands End seems to be back to normal
Bisbee's black and blue tournament is confirmed a go next week and I don't see them going ahead with that event if everything wasn't good to go.
F the hurricane, go and have a blast
Mango deck, the office, Cabo wabo, baja cantina are all back open.
I'm arriving Wednesday- I'll let ya know how it looks

Friends scheduled for thanksgiving week had to change plans and go elsewhere due to storm damage. Resort informed them this week they wouldn't be ready.

playa grand resort was awesome and would HIGHLY recommend it…it's a great value for what you get…stayed there 5 nights and will be going back again soon.
it's walking distance to the Marina and a cab anywhere is less than 10 bucks…we ate half our meals in the Marina (some great suggestions off of the FDB) and ate half our meals outside the marina at brilliant hole in the wall spots…whatever you do, do not stay at an all inclusive package you'll be missing out on the great places to eat.

This one, if it's even open now. We were just there at the end of April/early May. Puerto San Lucas restaurant there in the resort was great.

The wife and I stayed here in a room with a swim out pool in May of this year and it was awesome. Brand new and all of the restaurants onsite were great as well. It's not near the touristy area of downtown Cabo San Lucas and that's what we liked about it. It's a short drive to the city center of San Jose Del Cabo which was a cool area with lots of restaurants, bars and shops with a beautiful cathedral right in the middle of the square. More of a true Mexican town feel versus the americanized Cabo San Lucas.
And they sustained minimal cosmetic damage from the hurricane and are set to open back up later this month or early November.

Anything worth anything is destroyed down there.
I've stayed at the El Dorado, the Pueblo Bonito, and the Pueblo Rosa.
All of them were nice.

Most of the resorts in Cabo are open or opening by mid November. They have been balls to the wall rebuilding after Odile cause they know all of their money comes through tourism and for everyday they are shut down they are losing serious money. I don't mind going down there to spend some at the golf courses and restaurants to help them out.

Always loved the Finisterra and the "Yellow" Melia.
May want to push it back a bit, though.
A good friend of mine is head of F&B at the original country club... and she says it's still a mess.
If you can wait until December - you should be alright. Good fishing waaaay over by then if you are trying to catch sails.
ETA:
Vagabundos (Trailer Park)
Peacock's
and Joaquin's/Mi Casa(for mole')
Eat at all of the above.

I'm fishing the "baby" one next weekend. Bisbee's Los Cabos offshore tournament.
I think 1st place last year was around $400K
The big one starts on 24th with first place usually topping a cool million. But I haven't gotten in that one yet. :wahhhh
This will be my third year fishing it and we haven't caught a qualifying marlin yet..

My striped was on the wall at the Margherita fleet office before they sold out to Pisces I think.
ETA:
86-pound yellowfin still the best thing I ever snagged down there. BIG DELICIOUS

Like others have said, there were a lot of problems. We were going down for Thansgiving and staying at the Hilton resort (points). They canceled our reservation and said they won't be open til January.
Now we're going to Puerto Rico. Should still be fun, but I was really looking forward to Cabo.
When you do go down, I saw they have a huge Costco on the way out to where some of the resorts are. I was planning to stop and load up on alcohol there, before paying $12 a beer at the pool bar
