Great pics and info, I'm looking to put 315/70/17 on my wrangler. I thought I had a pretty good deal worked out, but ole boy stopped answering my texts.

Replaced my Nitto TGs with these. So much quieter and such a better ride.

I got a truck that had these on it. It was the last 25k miles of the tire and I did not like them at all. They were noisy and did not ride well. I had to rotate them alot, before I finally gave up on them.

Get the Cooper AT3's. Number 1 AT tire in consumer reports last year and there is a $70 rebate right now.

quote:Bought these for my truck recently and have been really happy. Drive from Hammond to BR everyday. My truck came with Bridgestone Dueler AT/RHS and they were great tires. Got almost 80k miles out of them. I started looking around for new tires about a year ago and saw that the Cooper tire was comparable and I could get a set of them for almost $300 cheaper at the time. I've had them on my truck for about 4 months now and they ride just as good as the Bridgestones I had.

I had the Nitto's on my f350 and currently have the general grabbers. The generals are definitely more aggressive looking but both ride nice. Generals lasted longer for me as well. I need a new set soon and was thinking of trying the hankook dynapro rtm10.

I know you said you wanted pics, but I'm having issues with my phone right now....
I have 50k on my cooper at3 and I would guess I have at least another 10-15k if not up to 20k left on them. Mostly highway miles, but I do use them at the camp on a regular basis. They aren't very loud and handle real well in the rain.
The treads are about 1/4 of the way up on a nickel

I got Yokohama geolander AT's that have been awesome. Not sure about how they stack up against the others as far as aggressiveness though.

Well that sucks to hear...
At least they look really good on my truck.

nothing is going to ride like the Michelin tires but they aren't very aggressive

I agree with fins statement. I walked in to buy the Michelins and it was going to be 6wks before they had them again. Factory tires were on their last life... Guy said only other tires he would get would be the at3s. I haven't been disappointed. But, the next set will be the Michelins

Kumho Road Venture AT
Cost me $1,400.00 a set for 355/60/20s. I've put 12K miles on them and love them. They still look new. I travel 800-1,000 miles a week, this tire is very highway friendly but still performs well in the mud.

I just put a set of Coopers on my ram as well - S/T Maxx 275/6520 - this is my second set I really like them, they are a little more aggressive than the AT but the tread is wide so they aren't as noisy as others that are similarly aggressive. Also bought from Tread Depot.com, best prices beat all the local cooper dealers by a long shot.

As I will be getting a truck later on, what is the quietest tires. I can't stand jet engine tires.
The Firestone Destination A/Ts are quiet. And one of, if not, the best A/T tire on the market if tirerack's surveys are trusted. Have had mine for 40K + now and no complaints and have a lot of tread left.

to hell with michelin. they may ride nice but that can blow me. My wife's michelin tires never makes it to warranty mileage and my michelin's on my truck now look pretty bad only at 37k miles. Maybe i should have been rotating a bit more frequently but still. frick it, i want something a little aggressive looking at least. I don't do much highway. Mainly city driving.
