Pro's. Con's.

Test drove a 2004 with 173k miles on it today just to prove to myself that it was a wore out truck.

Damn thing drives better than the two f-150's I drove (06&07). And a 07 silverado. They all had just over 100k on them.

I've got a 2005. Low miles, only 71,000. It rides well (for a truck), has good acceleration, and has been very dependable. Pretty shitty city mileage - about 15mpg. Highway about 19 or 20, if you don't drive like an idiot.

I have an 2004 with 95000 miles on it. It has been dependable. Only a few maintenance issues in the ten years I have owned it. The back cab is very spacious. It is not good on gas but it has lots of power. I find that it rides rough. I drive it like a car. Rarely leave pavement and rarely tow anything.

Overall it has been a good truck. I plan on keeping it until the wheels fall off.

I am interested to see what the new models will look like.

Have a 2007 model

Truck has 115k miles and run likes new. Every person I know with a Titan loves them. They are gas guzzlers ~20 miles to gallon. I have the V6 so can only imagine a V8 with 4X4.

Still, these trucks are dependable...

I have a 2006 with about 125,000+ on it. Driven that thing to Austin, Dallas, Houston, Washington DC, and now from Nashville back to Louisiana every few months. Thing never gives me problems. It does suck down gas after a while though.

I will say this, I haven't met a person who didn't lose the front grill?

I lost mine like a few months in.

Is there any reason you're only considering trucks with 100,000+ miles?

If that's what you're set on, you need to be looking at Tacomas.

The Titan is good...motor and trans are solid. They are known to easily blow the rear end though...and it seems like the rest of the truck will fall apart on you first. It probably felt better than the Ford and Silvarado bc Fords 5.4 is a boat anchor of a motor and GM's 5.3 isn't a powerhouse either. The Titans 5.6 makes good low end torque for a V8, so it feels better to the butt dyno.

I had an 05 and it was a beast, only reason I got rid of it was to get a crew cab. I sold it to a buddy of mine and it's still going strong with 80+k miles with not issues.

They are pretty thirsty though, probably the only drawback.

I have a 2011 with 132k. Still drives great and isnt as bad on gas as people say they are. Those people most likely dont drive Titans fwiw

Truck is better than any Checy or Dodge I had driven precious.

This will be a third vehicle and possibly my sons first car. It won't be a daily driver (I have a company car that I drive home most days). But every household needs a truck. Especially on a spread like we live on.

Got ya. Well, if you don't have to tow anything larger than a 20/22' boat, I'd still be looking at Tacomas.

I have an 06 quad cab 4x4 w 138k
Only problem was the exhaust manifold cracking. Fixed it w JBA long tube headers. :)

There is a way to prevent rear end blow out. Learned it on the Titan Talk forum.

Terrible gas mileage but I didn't buy it for that. I work from home so driving everyday is not a concern.
