i am not surprised about this, the individual mandate was a stroke of brilliance to ensure equal access. But it has consequences.
I really would like to know the republican alternative to obamacare. its pretty clear that its not working, but I haven't heard republicans say anything other than obamacare sucks.

3 Cs of health insurance coverage
The big corporation saves, the poor, part-time employee saves, the middle class gets screwed again.
Government protects the voting masses who vote unethically to give themselves more "benefits." The poor masses believe we live in an "UNFAIR" Republic (based on a constitution to maximize individual freedoms leading to personal independence through good choices).
Government (Ds and Rs) protects their big donors such as corporations finding ingenious (or at least cunning) ways to save them money leaving the burden on tax paying middle class Americans. While income taxes effect the rich as well, the middle classers usually pay a higher % because of the tax structure.
So as I've said the middle class gets screwed again. The Ds are especially good at it. They guilt you, insult you and then screw you. It's like an abusive, domineering relationship.

Politcally, no one wants to hear the real solution--we need to be personally responsible for our own personal care expenses.
And that is why you aren't hearing much. Dependency, "make the other guy pay" and "here's a bunch of free isht" are much more popular.
