Working in Meridian, MS. Besides being a garhole of a town, more Bama stuff than anything else. I see Bama, State, USM, then Ole Miss. Alot of Juco stuff too. Weird to here the Juco call in show after Feinbaum.

It's interesting how in some states there are true splits between the #1 and #2 teams (Utah, Arizona) but in some states the main team totally dominates - OK State and Iowa State are almost shut out. Even Clemson barely has anything.

Also, I guarantee if you took this poll even 5 years ago there wouldn't be even a blip for Baylor.

Some counties in South Dakota have Duke as their top program. Someone explain that to me. UT-Austin is also ranked highly in South Dakota. Are there no colleges in the Dakotas?

You want the serious answer? South Dakota has a lot of Indian Reservations and they love basketball. I mean adore basketball. So you will find a lot of Duke, UNC, UConn, Kansas stuff around the Rez. But mostly Duke

Tulane is not in the top three schools in its own zip code. I don't know whether to laugh or cry

The NYT article mentions that UNC isn't the top team in any Zip Code.
And North Carolina doesn't control even a single ZIP code. They instead yield to Duke, North Carolina State, Wake Forest and East Carolina, even though none are a football powerhouse.

I grew up in North Carolina and UNC is definitely the dominant program in the state. Looking at Orange County, NC (where UNC is located), the top team is Duke at 19.8%. The only way that makes ANY sense is if UNC was specifically excluded from the results.
