AUB & Malzahn preparing for return of "Mini Cam" Harris

Considered one of the nation's top dual-threat quarterbacks in the 2014 cycle, Harris picked up an offer from Gus Malzahn and the Auburn coaching staff May 2, 2013. In doing so, the Tigers entered a heated battle for his commitment with several elite programs.
At times, it seemed Auburn was a perfect fit. Harris, a big fan of former Auburn star Cam Newton, wore No. 1 in high school to honor the Carolina Panthers quarterback. Auburn coaches saw several similarities during their recruitment. Ultimately, the standout from Bossier City, La., chose the Bayou Bengals over fellow finalists Auburn and Ohio State on July 18, 2013. "The reason I made that decision is I like the competition at quarterback at LSU," Harris said after his decision. "I get the opportunity to go in December and compete as a freshman to start as a freshman... When I went to LSU on May 26, it was just a different vibe."
"His arm strength and ability to make plays with his feet" are skills Miles and Cameron have taken note of and look to utilize by running more spread option 4 & 5 WR sets w/ Harris in shotgun.

I think it is perfect. "Malzahn is no fool he has been preparing for Harris" because he knows his abilities.
AUB lost the recruiting battle and Harris chose LSU over a school that recognized his skills faster than we did. Harris has been more prolific at passing, running, and scoring per unit of time he has played than any other SEC QB.
With Harris, Malzahn knows who is coming and what he can do. Harris has the highest Passer Rating and QBR in the SEC.
But you are welcome to see it negatively or however you see it.

if harris comes out firing against auburn and leads LSU to a win, it will be a historic win for LSU.
LSU has never had a true freshman start and win an SEC road game.

It is Not "Mini Cam" that would be Rent-a-Cam.....as for AU they are not the Tigers....the tigers maybe, or plainsmen or war eagles ...

Elite Maturity: "Coach Cam does not use the word Freshman around here. He says elite maturity and prepares us well and expects everyone to play like 21 yr old seasoned veterans."
If not for the "but we cannot start a FR" straw man argument he likely would have been given more playing time and could have been the starter a lot sooner.
We wasted our "Mullen-gin" on State. They were unranked and in last place primarily because they give up over 300 yds per game to the pass. Harris put up 140 yds in 2 minutes. Auburn will respect the pass and that opens up the run.
Miles wants more pace and more spread option because the stats show that has worked.
