I have long said that Cruz is best in all 3 phases of speaking:
Stump Speech
Extemporaneous Q and A
Debate

This guy agrees with me:

american conservative

He puts Christie at No. 2. I would argue that Rand Paul is equal to or slightly better than Christie.

Ben Carson is my No. 4. Jeb Bush no. 5

All of them are vastly superior to Hillary Clinton.

I love Carson's common sense approach to issues, but the man just has very little charisma.

Cruz would be the best, "safe" choice. Solidly conservative and would bring the historic first Hispanic Presidential campaign. Best speaker and appears most reasonable.

Christie would be the moderate choice.

Paul would be a revolutionary, conservative with a marked libertarian leaning - despite his assertions, he would be, effectively, the first "libertarian" President since the founders.

Ben Carson would be the Republican response to the racebaiting of the Obama Presidency.

Jeb Bush would be a dangerous precedent - a third member from the same family? Not interested. If nominated, obviously, I will hold my nose and vote for him over Clinton/Warren/Booker/Whomever

I was just talking about the brilliance of Ted Cruz yesterday. A couple of the resident libtards, TT9 and FT, almost had simultaneous strokes.

Man, I hate the word "almost".......

Cruz may very well be the best speaker in the field, but I don't his oratory skills can mask his major character flaws. It's interesting that you found someone at The American Conservative who likes Cruz considering the fact that for a whole week, that site featured hit-piece after hit-piece slamming Cruz for the stunt he pulled at the In Defense of Christians conference.

Right now is my first choice, followed by Rand. I don't want Christie and hell to the know to Jeb Bush. I wouldn't mind seeing Carson involved somewhere in a conservative administration.

I haven't decided yet. I like him a lot, but not as President.

Cruz comes off as a used-car-salesman slimebag to me.
