I believe that Malachi and Dural and Quinn are the three best receivers we have ever had on the field. They will make mistakes but are coming on fast.
I remember all the drops ODB and Jarvis made in first two years and these guys seem to catch most everything thrown their way....by Harris that is.
Cannot wait until Saturday...

Not Jarvis, dude. I'm not saying he never dropped one - every receiver does - but Jarvis came out of his mother's womb catching well.

Speedy is a beast!! Stop hating.

Speedy Noil was a loss, but honestly speaking, when would he see the field in SEC competition on our team? Who could he play in front of?
Speedy Noil would be the best receiver on LSU's roster right now.

agree LSU has some great young receivers. But Noil is a weapon in that offense and unfortunately LSU will have to defend him for the next 3-4 years. I'd just prefer the in state talent that leaves go somewhere besides the SEC west.

Noil was a huge loss if only for the fact he is a legit return man. All the listed above are not.

LOL. Not even close to TAMU #1 WR. He had 1 catch for 4 yards against Arky with 2 drops. Noil is an obvious better playmaker, but Quinn is a much better WR (route running, hands, etc)

pecking order as a wr
dupre
noil
Quinn
if you add in the return game then dupre and noil are equal.

LOL. The idiot is strong with you. Best returner maybe, not even close to the best WR. At LSU he'd be where he is at A&M, 4 or 5. Hes a playmaker but people on both sides of fanbases need to quit acting like this guy is all world. His hands are suspect. Quinn is exceptional at route running and has arguably the best hands on LSU already. Not to mention is one of the smartest cats out there. He already knows all 3 LSU WR positions well and plays them. Noil drops balls every game. Noil's playmaking makes them equals I guess, but they are entirely different types of players so it's really a stupid comparison.

The guy with 1 TD and 13 receptions on a team that passes the shite out of the ball?

While Dural and Dupre have combined for 9 TDs.

Please stop.. Jarvis and Odell looked great from the start. They looked absolutely better than the receivers we have now.. Hands down!!!

i dont think so....maybe return guy...
right now id say its Dupre over all
Dural on the go route
Quinn has the best hands
Diarse seems to be the guy that screens should go to....he has shown the ability to break tackles more...has more size and bit more overall athleticism...

All of you really should take a seminar in expectations management or something. They've played five games together. Pump the goddamned brakes.

Quille and Speedy would both start.

Good thread.
This is what this board is suppose to be about.
LSU fans getting excited about LSU.
Forget the negative bullshite. It's like a rash we can't get rid of.
2 thumbs up !!!

quote:I'd say this is all ridiculous at this point. It requires a lot of games with a good passing quarterback to determine a wide receiver's worth. Raw numbers don't nearly tell the whole story. Even with that, your best receiver may have pedestrian numbers because he's always doubled, opening it up for other receivers on the team.

dupre
noil
Quinn
As a previous post stated, I'm proud of the men who chose to be in P&G. They'll be as good as any. It will be fun seeing how much each develops over time.
