How would you rank the chillwave arttists?

This place and work have both been slow as shite today, so I figured I would honor the end of summer by using this opportunity to throw all the chillwave artists I could think of on a notepad and tier rank the shite out of them. I also don't care that chillwave was so 2010, it's still real to me dammit. Let's see what you think of this list, who you would add, move, or remove.
Tier 1:
Panda Bear
Boards of Canada
Toro y Moi
Neon Indian
Com Truise
Tier 2:
Tycho
Washed Out
Clams Casino
Classixx
Tier 3:
Memory Tapes
Ariel Pink
Small Black
Tier 4:
Pictureplane
Best Coast
Ducktails
Tier 1:
Panda Bear
Boards of Canada
Toro y Moi
Neon Indian
Com Truise
Tier 2:
Tycho
Washed Out
Clams Casino
Classixx
Tier 3:
Memory Tapes
Ariel Pink
Small Black
Tier 4:
Pictureplane
Best Coast
Ducktails

people still listen to chillwave?
so 2010
And one more pithy condescending comment:
Panda Bear is not chillwave

I wouldn't call Wavves chillwave.
Move Ducktails up. Move Com Truise up.

Tycho probably my favorite out of all those.

Person Pitch was almost the spark to the flame that would become chillwave. It wasn't the pure definition, but it forshadowed the movement

I 100% agree. Quality stuff.
Alright, how far should Ducktails be moved up in the ranks?

Memory tapes is in tier 1.
neon indian is in tier 3 (due to their sucky live show)
I wouldn't say panda bear or boards of canada are chill wave, same for tycho.

I didn't see Boards of Canada on there until you mentioned it
Yea Boards of Canada is definitely not chillwave
They were making albums before chillwave was 10 years from even being a thing

I wouldn't consider chillwave to be particularly renowned for live stuff anyway.
Besides, Deadbeat Summer may be the pinnacle of chillwave.

To me, Neon Indian's Psychic Chasms is the essential chillwave album

Boards of Canada are a giant influence on a lot of the bands that would rise in the 2010 chillwave summer. I think they show enough characteristics with the genre to fit the bill.
Neon Indian's Psychic Chasms may be the greatest chillwave album out of the bunch.
Dan, give me your official danman tier rankings. Mine is sort of a bored rough draft

I wouldn't know where to start. I would consider half of the names on your list chillwave, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about here. The world of indie sub-genres is a confusing place.
I know Neon Indian, Toro y Moi and Washed Out are the three groups I think of instantly when I think of chillwave, so they're Tier 1 for me
I dunno where to go from there though

That's where things get complicated for me. There is a very thin line between Indietronica, chillwave, synth-pop, electronic psychedelica, fricking noise
I guess chillwave to me is any kind of synth-centric music, with that lo-fi style "played on an old cassette" type filter

Chill wave > dad prog Rock
Posted on 9/29/14 at 4:27 pm to Spaulding Smails
Dreampop > Chillwave
That being said, Clams Casino and Washed Out should be Tier 1 (for me).
Youth Lagoon is probably Tier 1 or 2 (once again, for me). Year of Hibernation was probably one of my most listened to albums of that year, and it still holds up, imo.
