The only season I made a trade my two top RB got hurt. Did horribly that year.

I am not a trader, I look at an offer, but most of the guys I chose were guys I wanted. I don't like to trade them away.

A big reason reason I take a lot of high upside guys in the mid-late rounds is, yeah it's nice to have them for yourself, but also so I can package them for studs that I can plug in my lineup and never take out except for bye weeks. Example: last year I traded Gio and Desean (and a mid round draft pick the following year) after their hot starts for Charles after his slow start. Big reason I won that league last year.

TL;DR: I'd rather have one elite #1 than two pretty good #2/3s

ETA: with that said, don't get it twisted I only make about 2-3 trades all year among all my leagues. But I do like to try and get that big splash each year. I don't understand the people who are constantly trading, almost to the point they have a new team each week.

I hardly ever make trades.

Some people constantly trade, I've just never been a big trade guy.

I constantly try to trade depth 2:1 for studs. Sounds obvious, but as injuries and byes crop up, I'm usually able to upgrade my squad at least once or twice per season.

Rarely but that's mostly because I can never find a trading partner. No one else ever wants to trade. I draft to some extent best value with the idea that I can try to trade for a more balanced team. I think too many people in my league over value their own players.

When it calls for it

Half the tards posting these trade threads are either panicking or have gone full retard. They will never win their leagues bailing on their top picks for flavor of the week players. Not to mention they are already 1-2, 0-3

trades are tough because people value guys on their team too highly. also, people think that 3 guys that are all flex level starters = calvin johnson.

In general, with a 16 round draft, my ending roster is usually 9 drafted, 6 WW and maybe 1 trade.

I have one longtime league that literally no one trades. Being a longtime league, the same owners miss the playoffs every year, yet are unwilling to adjust at all. I guess paying money to go 2-12/5-9 every year suits them well.

This year I've seen so many trades though. But then again, I'm in 3 leagues with abel and he's the Jerry Jones of FF. Wheeling and dealing.

I almost never initiate a trade.

I'm in a 10 team league with roster restrictions and a 12 team league with no roster restrictions. No one trades in the 10 team league and there is constant trade talks in the 12 team league.

All the trades offered to me are always an attempt at trade rape.

12 Team Standard League

Before: After:

Foles Foles
Gio Forte
Jennings Ellington
DT88 Julio
Green Green
Rudolph Kelce
CJ2K Benjamin
D/ST D/ST
K K

JBell DeAngelo
Evans Evans
ASJ ASJ
Amaro O'Dell
Cooks Hester
Gordon Gordon
______ Blount

I've noticed not much changed after everything that has happened I'd even say I might have downgraded my #1 and #2 runningbacks... But FLEX got MUCH better (I think Forte will get going, and Ellington will too after healing up this BYE week though)

I'll spend endless time thinking and discussing trades with people and 99% of the time I end up not doing anything.

Doesn't happen very often in my 12 and 14-team leagues. I've only made a handful. It's often hard to make fair trades with people because everyone is always expecting something for nothing. Trades should address both teams' needs and some people just don't understand that. They expect to trade a scrub for a stud.
