Weather Experts, Will This Storm Give Me Any Issues?

I am going to Turks and Caicos on October 12th-19th and I am diligently monitoring the weather in that area.
This seems to have formed and was curious as to the chances it becomes a serious storm and if it could affect my trip in 2 weeks.

For reference, here is where Turks is located on a map:

cool fronts rolling down from the north. should push this thing back back out away from the coast... or stall it out.

Really clever man, really clever. You should be proud.
Any serious responses?

I guess thats good news. Its only at 30 mph winds at the moment, but we all know how these things can escalate. The surface temperature of the water seems to be really high on those heat maps and I believe that is not a good sign.
This is my honeymoon FYI, so I really need some good juju to push this thing away from us.

The OT knows about as much as the maps show. Those are the models. Not sure what else you are looking to get out of this.

Not true at all, there are some serious weather geeks on here. Also, people in South Louisiana know more about hurricanes than the average joe. Those hurricane threads usually have a couple members with some pretty solid knowledge of hurricane behavior.
Of course you have to weed through 98 other guys who don't know their arse from a hole in the ground.

Enjoy your trip. It is very awesome of you to travel to T&C.
I mean, that is why you started this thread right? You can't seriously be asking the OT for weather predictions 3 weeks out?

Just tell him what he wants to hear and it's all cool

If this even develops it won't me anything major and your honeymoon shouldn't be affected. Congrats.

Turks and Caicos for a week is not the Maldives for a month. This is a pretty average honeymoon IMO. We're young and couldn't afford much more.

if you had a TD Premium account, you could have just sent a PM to rds

It's not a storm yet. There is only a 10% chance it will be a storm in the next 48 hours. There is only a 10% chance it will be a storm in the next 5 days. Conditions are not favorable for development. Its drifting north, not toward the Caicos. Models aren't good at determining their path before they are an actual storm. It will be long gone 2.5 weeks from now, whatever it does.
Feel better?
