Rotation:

Three Finger Brown
Ferguson Jenkins
Greg Maddux
Hippo Vaughn
Old Pete Alexander

Pen (to save their arms ):

Kerry Wood
Mark Prior
Lee Smith

Honorable mention:

Rick Sutcliffe

This list is kind of tough to do with the Cubs because it is loaded with Deadball Era arms. It is obviously very tough to value them properly. Mordecai, Fergie, and Maddux had to be in there IMO. Grover Cleveland is an all-time even though he did not join the Cubs until 31. Hippo Vaughn impressed me the most out of the rest of the old timers.

Ferguson Jenkins
Greg Maddux
Kerry Wood
Rick Sutcliffe
Mark Prior

Spot Starter: Jamie Moyer (I needed a lefty)

Pen:

Carlos Marmol
Lee Smith

Eric Gagne (steroid version)

Tommy John and Rick Rhoden would be in the discussion. Dazzy Vance if we go back to Brooklyn.

Yeah, but who else? Freddy Garcia? Iwakuma? I guess you could use Doug Fister or Pineda.

I only considered the times they were on the Cubs, which devalued Maddux.

You going to throw Felix twice every 5 days? And Randy?

So (with a nod to "Spahn and Sain, then pray for rain") it's "Felix and Randy, then rain comes in handy".

Pretty much. Not a lot of history of good pitching in Seattle.

Not being alive to see/hear about most of the guys y'all are suggesting is probably the main reason, haha. I wish that wasn't the case though
