Great, he's got the winningest record in LSU football history. There's also more games played nowadays than back in the day. He's also been here the second longest of any coach in school history. And if he stays till his contract is up he'll be here the longest.
Also, look at the way we win a lot of our ballgames. It's a play not to lose style of play. Not a play to win the game style of play. He doesn't have that killer instinct that a head coach must have. Cool, we won a NC in 2007-2008. Hell, we got into the game by pure luck.
He makes no adjustments...ever. You know what majority of people's definition of insane is? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. At some point, you have to change things and the simple fact of the matter is, he won't.
And look at the way we look when we lose. Most of the games we lose, yes a lot of the losses are to teams that have as much talent as us. But most losses aren't good looking losses. We don't usually look good in our losses as a team. Not prepared, not excited or enthused. But instead, flat out of the gates and try to turn it on in the second half. But do you understand how hard it is in sports when you're slow and flat out of the gates?
Now, am I saying that I'm not proud of what he's done at LSU? Well, lemme retract that question, am I saying that I'm not proud of what the players he's recruited have done? Hell no. We have put an incredible amount of players in the NFL since he's been here. But it seems those players skyrocket in the NFL. And my guess on that is because they actually get some good coaching and progress their talent levels to NFL standards.
That's all I'm gonna say.
TL;DR: Wins don't always mean you're a good coach. And gfy

I realize your ranting. That being said, lets see how the season plays out. I think Les has earned that at least.

I see a lesson in statistics and percentages coming up very quickly in your future. I'd do it myself, but it's late a math puts me to sleep.

Albert Einstein said this, and the majority of people repeat it.

Well when you're widely regarded as the smartest man alive, create theory of relativity, atomic bomb, etc...

That makes him an expert on psychology/insanity? Haha.
I'm just busting balls, it's a good quote and I've used it more than once.

I challenge to to provide examples of this other than the game in the Dome. Most of the losses have been hard fought games. With only a handful of utter blowouts.

What does winning percentage have to do with how many games are played?
Sorry, but winning games IS the definition of a good coach. You may not ENJOY the Miles philosophy, but that also has nothing to do with his coaching abilities. Winning championships is very hard to come by. Staying at or near the top of CFB is all a fan base should ask for.
He's won 10 games each of the last four years. 8-5 should be acceptable this year given the youth on this team.

Goddamn, this isn't the 70's 80's or 90's. Eight wins isn't acceptable for LSU anymore. Why do our fans accept mediocrity, youth or not? We recruit the top players in the nation and get a shitload of them. 8-5 isn't LSU anymore. 10-2 11-1 12-0 is LSU. Quit protecting the coach for being mediocre and wake up!
I'll ask you this, when is the last time Miles has truly out-coached another head coach for an entire 60 mins?

And in all caps??? You must mean business. Would've made it more believable had you put TWO exclamation marks though..

Every year??? Of course not.
Once in 9 years and possibly twice in 10??? Why the frick not??

So does Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Florida, and *gasp* Mississippi State.
And that's just the teams on our schedule every year.

Thanks to Miles.
You know, the guy who got us to 11-2, 13-1, 10-3, 10-3 the last four years

LSU has young talented players but Miles doesn't unleash them to play. He would't have let Harris play like the last 10 minutes if the game was closer. He needs to look at teams like TAM.

How many of those seasons did we win a championship? Or an SEC championship? Only one BCS bowl game and we got our asses handed to us. Also what's his bowl record the last like five years? 2-3? With only one BCS game played.

Two weeks ago we played ULM, the week before that we played SHSU. I would hope he would be able to out coach them. But in reality, he didn't have to coach much in those games cause our talent is so much better than theirs.
