Holy shite. This has to be a joke. My God, that must mean if LSU wins another national championship with Miles you will be suicidal!

Yes dammit he was joking. Good god almighty whydoes everybody always fall for that?

Fair enough. Miles still has the best winning percentage among full time LSU coaches if you start with the 2008 season.
That's right. Miles has a better record with his own players than anybody else at LSU had with his.
Even when you use selective statistics, Miles still wins!
and what has that gotten us?

How could you leave off the other SEC TEams - Miss State, A&M, South Carolina, Vandy and Kentucky, Tenn
AND the non conference Top 20 schools too. We should leave off the gimme games. What is the %
Then take into consideration how these other teams have done

Um, your wrong. Losing Record to Saban. Point Blank. Saban will surpass Miles' win percentage easily and do it faster if he doesn't leave again.

So if he's not he best he's the worst. Got it.

Mainly because, like I stated, you aren't playing the other East teams every year. That are not the constant determining factor into getting into the SEC championship every year. If you want to count Miss. State, a non factor for any team the past few years that would consider themselves elite, go ahead. Didn't count A&M because of only a 2 year factor. Even is you lose the rent a wins, he is still at around 63%, so that doesn't mean anything.

Beginning in 2008, LSU is 23-14 vs. ranked teams. Any Miles-basher care to provide a list of schools who have better records vs. ranked teams during this time period? The whole "beginning in 2008" thing is that on which you're hanging your hats, after all.

Whatever man. We can all twist stats anyway we want. The main factor is up to you. If you don't give a crap about winning the SEC Championship more often then he's your man. If you don't care about getting humiliated by Bama in 2011, he's your man. If you could care less about having a losing record to Bama lately, he's your man. If you are fine with beating Ole Miss and Florida every other year, he's your man. But just remember, if he losses to Ole Miss or Forida this year, he will have losing record to them since 2008.

Here are some interesting stats. I would like to start my stats with the 2008 season. That would have been the first year Miles had his recruits as seniors.
Damn so 2006 was his first recruiting class, the players lost their eligibility after 2 seasons? or is it the lack of recruiting the oline with saban from 2004 to 2005. Les was hired with a month left in the recruiting cycle in 2005. We had 8 players committed, finished with 13. Yeah that saban sure left the cupboard full when he knew he was bolting to the nfl.

quote:What the hell am I twisting? I have comprehensive stats to back up my claim. You attempt to use selective (ie, twisted) stats, and Les still has better results at LSU than any other when you omit the first three years.

If you don't give a crap about winning the SEC Championship more often then he's your man. If you don't care about getting humiliated by Bama in 2009, he's your man. If you could care less about having a losing record to Bama lately, he's your man. If you are fine with beating Ole Miss and Florida every other year, he's your man. But just remember, if he losses to Ole Miss or Forida this year, he will have losing record to them since 2008.
Look, pal, I have some advice for you: If you have fewer credit hours at LSU than Les Miles has national championships, rest assured nobody's giving your opinions on Les Miles much thought.

we didnt get humiliated by bama in 2009, that was the pp no call interception and the block in the back on the julio jones touchdown.
Thats funny because i remember a time when beating florida once in a decade was good for this program. Im glad to see our coach has raised our expectations by actually beating them on a consistent basis.

Lost to Bama in 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013 and split 2011. How the hell am I wrong? Saban Has been at Bama for 8 years now and has a 83% winning percentage. Miles has 10 years at 79%. You really think that bama is going to average 3 or more losses the next two years to get below that 79%?

Les Miles has a better record at LSU than Nick Saban had at LSU.
Les Miles has a better record with his own players at LSU (beginning in 2008) than Nick Saban had with his own players at LSU.
If LSU loses five games this year, next year, and the next year, Les Miles will still have a better record at LSU than Nick Saban had at LSU.
Considering how miserably you failed in your attempt at using selective statistics to bash Miles, I shouldn't be surprised to see that you're this far behind the curve.

It seems you're trouble grasping this but NO ONE GIVES A FLYING, SOARING frick ABOUT THAT shite. I'm sure if we do lose 5 games the next two seasons, you'll still be grasping onto you cute little numbers

Just ignore ths guy. He is just wasting your time, arguing for the sake of arguing. Either that or Les is paying him. You're never going to get him to accept a rational argument, no matter how hard you try. He's incapable of it.
Stop responding and it'll fade away.
Thankfully.

oh, so sorry I screwed up on one date pal. Is that the only thing you can criticize pal. The fact is that your boy is slipping. His quirkiness is laughable. His constant incoherent sentences and phrases are getting to be a joke. He may have a good win percentage, but he is one of the most stubborn coaches to ever coach the game.
