I gotta hand it to you, your dickriding of Miles is impressive. Even if you're a colossal douchebag.

You can't dispute his win-loss record. I'll give you that.
You can dispute the offensive coaching staff's predictability, lack of creativity, and their inability/unwillingness to use all the weapons at their disposal, which came to bite them in the butts against a Mississippi State team, that by all accounts, is not a team that we should ever lose to.
Many LSU supporters are concerned, and rightfully so, because the quarterback is so ineffective that defenses do not respect him, which ultimately bogs down our entire offense. And we all know how Les has handled other ineffective qb's in the past. He has done so stubbornly.
LSU supporters are also concerned that our front seven was beat up by Mississippi State. They are rightfully concerned about what could happen against better teams, such as Alabama and Auburn, among others.
Les has shown that, as a football coach, he doesn't know how to do a lot of things, but one thing he certainly does know how to do is win. And he will certainly get the opportunity to show the LSU community that he still has the ability to do that against teams that are a lot better than Mississippi State.
We are rightfully concerned, but we should also let the season play out, and if he ends the season with at least five losses, which is a very real possibility playing in the SEC West (a division that we use to be kings of), in a year where the division is as strong as ever, and the margin for error is as small as ever, people are justified in wanting to see a change.
Les isn't afforded the luxury of being stubborn anymore.

Sorry, just one more.
Are you special? If so, I'm sorry for making fun of you. Did your mommy not tell you that "fricking idiot" is considered resorting to cursing. That is a sign of adolescent anger management issues. It makes you appear petulant and does not help you make your case.

quote:I've always found it peculiar that when people cite the career accomplishments of Les Miles, which are more impressive than any other who has coached footbal at LSU, those who do not view Miles as an elite coach often think of men having sex with each other.

Would you care to share with us why, in response to an OP that has encouraged nothing more than statistics backing up one's point, you provide not numbers but your thoughts of men having sex with each other?

LSU broke a record last year. First team in the sec to have a 3000 yd passer two 1000 yd receivers and 1000 yd rusher.
So please id like any recruit to go look at other teams and they wont find one that has that many players putting up those kinds of numbers. If you want proof Landry just tore it up yesterday for the Dolphins. yeah dont come to the team that sends more players to the nfl each season than anyone.
players from LSU are getting drafted in spite our shitty offensive philosophy. I honestly don't know why Malachi Dupre came here. If I'm a top WR recruit, I'm not coming here and have shitty QBs throw to me.
Or even a RB recruit and get misued ala Keiland Williams, Charles Scott, Micheal Ford, Richard Murphy, Alfred Blue, etc.

Really? All you got, huh? Trying to dress up a "you're gay" comeback?
Sorry your wittle feelings got hurt.

You brought it up. I never said you were gay. Just wondering why so many Miles bashers talk about men having sex. Why not cite comprehensive statistics that back up your claims instead?

Generally, the LSU playing schedule has changed in the past few years. Playing so many of these smaller colleges boosts his stats. I don't think it's an accurate comparison to claim him as the winningest coach. Let's see what he does in the SEC this year. That's the real measuring stick.

Les Miles has a better record vs ranked teams at LSU than 9 of the 13 other SEC coaches have OVERALL at their current schools.

Here are some interesting stats. I would like to start my stats with the 2008 season. That would have been the first year Miles had his recruits as seniors. I am a firm believer that the previous three years talent recruited should not be put on the shoulders of any coach as good or bad. Main examples would be Crocker at Miami and Chizik at Auburn. Also, in 2008 I think this was the year that, because of the poor quarterback play, he decided to take the reins over the offense and not give complete control to his coordinators. So, against the main opponents that we have to play every year to win the west (Aub, Bama, Florida, Ole Miss, Arkansas) Miles has won 54% of those games. Before 2008, 80% win percentage. You can say what ever you would like. Positigers will say 54% is above even. Negatigers will say how is that worth $4 million a year. Do with it what you may.

That's right. Miles has a better record with his own players than anybody else at LSU had with his.
Even when you use selective statistics, Miles still wins!
