Trying to carry on with normal life too early after a loss will only make it worse. Grieving with friends and family is a process that needs to be done in order to move on. Share memories of the good times you had together with all who knew your friend.
There is nothing shameful about crying, especially in this situation. My condolences to you, may you find comfort after this tragedy.

You need to think about it. It's part of the grieving process. To do otherwise is only to delay it. If he had a wife or kids, go help/do something for them. That'll give you a way to honor your friend and help them. Men cry. Just not over pain or women. Just bro's and dogs. And their favorite team losing. And perhap's at the end of Rudy or Ole Yeller. Or when McDonalds shelves the McRib.
