Warner Bros. and director Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes) are moving forward at a fast pace with their new take on the legendary tale of Camelot with Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur, and Deadline is reporting that European model and actress Astrid Berges-Frisbey will be playing Guinevere to Charlie ("Sons of Anarchy") Hunnam's King Arthur.

Berges-Frisbey first got attention in America in 2007 when she starred opposite Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz as the mermaid Syrena in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which grossed a billion dollars worldwide. More recently, she could be seen opposite Michael Pitt in Mike Cahill's indie I, Origins.

It's unclear where this leaves Elizabeth Olsen who was slated to play the female lead in the movie just a few weeks back, although she could be playing a different role. Either that or Berges-Frisbey has replaced her.

With a screenplay by Joby Harold, this take on the King Arthur story will go all the way back to the 15th Century compilation of tales by Thomas Mallory called "Le Morte d'Arthur" for its inspiration.

I can see where Lancelot would be all over that. I want to lance her a lot myself.

Hmmm.... Now to cast Morgan.

Loved Eva Green in the role but don't want her to leave Penny Dreadful.

I will go see it just because of her. She's my perfect woman.

Hunnam definitely fills the look required of "The Golden Bear of England". Astrid is better casting than Olsen for Gwenhwyvar, but not sure she can pull off Irish warrior princess. Wonder if Olsen was actually cast as Morgian(Morgan Le Fay).

All of that being said. While I am excited for this movie. My biggest problem will be ignoring what my imagination has built when reading all of Stephen R Lawhead's Pendragon Cycle. His was a VERY thorough retelling of the legend. 6 books deep, Lawhead basesd his stories on the Mabinogion, the History of the Kings of Britain and other works of Geoffrey of Monmouth, the writings of Taliesin, Gildas, and Nennius, and several other legends that he manages to interweave into the Arthurian legend.
