different age, different time, I would have been taken away from my parents and they would have been charged back in the day, they're some of the greatest people in the world and so am I

He didn't beat him up. Just hit him with switches. That's weak shite

He did not "beating up" his kid. Same treatment I received at his age. It was only once and I did not repeat the stupid thing I did. I think it was about lying.

My opinion, setting incident in question aside, if medical attention required then you have definitely crossed the line. Marks, not including facial, happen from being spanked/whipped.

I wasn't there and have not seen the pics. No father should beat up their kids but I have no problems with spankings using a switch.

From the sound of it, he may have gone too far.

Sounds like he whipped dat arse to much. The punishment does not fit the crime though. I remember my parent's telling me to pick the switch (tree branch) that would bring pain. Oh good times.

kid was 4.

he was beat for cursing.

I will bet my life savings of about $3.50 that AP listens to Rap music around his kids.

Four year old cursing? Look to the parents.

Is never justifiable. Now, correcting bad behavior is fine. There is a difference.

4 of us boys each received epic arse whippings at our house back in the 50s -60s. I remember almost each one and after the first really good one, there were only a few after that. Definitely wanted to avoid that by all means. We deserved them too BTW.
