Do you ever "mourn" a character's death?
Dan and Anne form 'Where the Red Fern Grows' is the toughest death Ive ever read/saw in a story.

Richard Harrow. Such a deep character I tended to identify with. Just unlucky, unwanted. Just trying to help as much as he could.
Died by himself in the dark, looking at the ocean. He died without his mask. He was free.

Maximus Decimus Meridius, but then I remembered he would have his vengeance in the next life, so I was at peace with it.

D'Angelo Barksdale. Loved Jimmys death, though.

I cried when Frosty melted in the greenhouse. Good thing that was Christmas snow.

That one was tough. Great movie.
Red Ferns wins hands down for childhood trauma. I remember a theater of crying kids when I saw it as a youngster.
Red Wedding probably pissed me off more than any other moment in television history. Just outright brutal. Even though I knew it was coming because someone spoiled me, it still punched me in the gut.
