but that State's front 7 was going to shut LSU's offense down.

This is my concern for the game. Through three games we have not shown the willingness to keep defenses honest (well, maybe against Sam Houston, but does that even count?). If ULM can stiffle our running game, I fear that the Bulldogs may as well.

Not saying that they will, just that I'm concerned about it.

Even if LSU's offense struggles, MSU isnt going to put up many points against LSU's Defense. I only see MSU winning if their D-line dominates, they make a big play on special teams, and they win the turnover battle.

Will has little to do with it. An inexperienced QB with a Dural fixation leaves us a bit one-dimensional.

If MSU stifles our running game like ULM did, we'll have over 200 yards rushing.

ULM is ranked WAYYY above MSU in total defense through 3 games (#21 to #70).

Add in opening SEC weekend at home at night. Maybe I'm the only one not worried about this game.

As is usually the case, the Tigers will have to throw the ball to win an SEC game. MSU is extremely vulnerable in the defensive backfield as UAB exposed. LSU will not be shut down by MSU unless they shoot themselves in the foot with penalties, turnovers, dropped balls, etc. Sate's defense has done a good job against the run but no one noteworthy. LSU, on the other hand, will play mostly man in the secondary and allow their linebackers and safeties to concentrate mostly on run support.

4.2 yards/rushing attempt = stifled running game?
