nfl needs to do something. I dont see this just blowing over.
whats sad is that he lost a child due to another man beating it to death. seems like after that circumstance he would think twice before doing something like this.

if you watch the video in the link in OP, they have text messages of him admitting he hit him in the back seat of the car

They won't they'll cite innocent until proven guilty.
Well he already admitted he was guilty but that he doesn't think it's a big deal.
Who gives a frick what he believes? We live in a country that has laws.

did you not read his letter?

they don't see it as abuse because that would mean they were abused, and not many people want to admit that.
Did AP cross the line, I do not know.
I do know that as a society we need to protect our children from abusive parents. However, an arse whipping, one that made it painful to sit for days is not abuse. If it happens all the time and for no cause, then I agree it is not disciple, but abuse.
I was spanked, and have spanked my kids. My oldest more than the others. Even as a teen he laughs when talking about "trips to the barn". He knew he had it coming and still knows I did it because I love him.
Many are wanting to use this as an argument against discipline and yet it is this very lack of discipline in many homes that is responsible for many of the ills in our country.

We are talking about the new case. I see the Op has been updated

Jason La Canfora is not a happy camper about this and the Vikings right now

Only way to discipline a 4-year old is to whip him with a switch more times than you even can remember and leave bloody marks for a week.
You're fricking clueless, man.

We just need to inactivate every football player that has an issue with abuse/assault/battery/etc. and let the courts deal with it first.
I think that'd be something like 10 players.

well that's the whole argument and the NFL in general.
they have no standards. they just do shite haphazardly.
Rice gets tried twice for the same suspension.
Then Hardy actually gets convicted of abuse, who appeals, so he can keep playing
Then Peterson does this with photographic evidence yet is still playing
There's no consistency.

Actually, it is. Hitting a defenseless child is abuse.
If you're going to tell me you're too stupid to figure out how to discipline a child without hitting him, you're not fit to be a parent.
Find another way to teach toughness.
