If you have any clue into the workings of college athletics, you would know every school takes at risk. Southern and other schools like it take more than others. Feel free to answer the questions

Obviously someone in their athletic department administration isn't doing their job. Better yet just overhaul their whole department and start new.

As of a couple years, the era that got them on the current probation, they could only afford two people to do compliance for all of the athletes.

So when do we just turn HiBC's into branches of Vatterott College or other vo-techs?
in Oklahoma at Langston University, the grades and test scores of their incoming freshmen classes are atrocious. Langston has a 10% graduation rate, a 99% need-based financial aid application rate, with 83% receiving financial aid. (I'd bet that the 16% that were denied a majority of them would be from prior felony convictions and/or drug related charges).
The Langston campus has a horrible crime problem, and almost constant violence related to gang clashes among students and their associations. You can count on a couple shootings a year involving their students.
HBC's are just a money grab these days and they do no discernable positive work for their students.

Actually, someone in their department is doing their job. if they weren't doing their job, the players would have been out there playing.

thing is that job should be done before the season... if you can't afford to make sure of that you probably can't afford D1 athletics

that's an athletic department issue that makes them a joke. coaches have power in who they offer scholarships to. ADs can implement standards, too
