Since bitching about Seasons a few weeks ago I've really been on a tear... Was in Division 4 with a record of 85-46-93
Now I'm mid-way through my 3rd straight season in Div 2 and looking like I'm gonna win it with an overall record of 100-49-97.
I found a formation that really works great with my possession style (it's actually what LFC has been using IRL), now average 80-85% passing and 55-70% possession

I have gotten like 4 players from Chile with the first name "Dingwall". One of then did turn I to an 88 LM though.

Agreed. I actually lose sometimes on World Class too which I like. I recently bumped it up from Pro and was kind of scared, but I was winning every game 4 or 3 to zero. Its nice that the gap wasn't just ridiculous.

Anyone realize the game forces you to kick it back to the opposition on a drop ball if someone gets injured but if the other teams gets the drop ball, they just play on even if you clearly had possession??
Those assholes!

quote:Paid 200k for players and can only sell for max 90k. Also since the price is fixed no one even seems to buy players. There are tons of cards all for same player and same price. You cant get rid of your player unless you get real lucky (or put 99 contracts on him, etc.) I think they may have ruined it for a lot of people.

Who gives a shite if the gooks are selling coins on ebay?

Me, because I was getting priced out of all the decent players since I don't buy coins.

I mean that 200k you payed for them was incredibly inflated because of the coin buyers increasing the amount of coins in the market and devaluing the currency.
That 200k was really worth only, oh I don't know, probably 90k.
I know it made a bunch of people butthurt this year since it was implemented half way through but just because you are selling the players for less than you paid doesn't mean you're taking a hit since everyone else in the market is getting devalued.
Just like people didn't understand before the price ranges that selling for more than you bought wasn't necessarily a net gain due to the rampant inflation
Posted on 3/28/15 at 9:55 pm to Cockopotamus
The problem now is you cant sell a player. I definitely understand the max price and think its a good idea. They should remove the minimum price. All that does is put a ton of players on the market for the exact same price.
Posted on 3/29/15 at 11:03 am to The Mick
Nah, the minimum price is still necessary to prevent coin selling. The way they implemented price bands was kind of screwy, but they have done a decent job adjusting price bands, though they haven't driven them low enough for many players yet.
Definitely annoying that they'd do it in the middle of the life cycle of a product that everyone has already purchased, but it should be fine eventually.

It also keeps people with autobuyers from scooping up every snipe on the market. At the end of the day, this is the only thing that'll save the market. People are definitely buying and selling. I know because I flipped an alright player up to 100k in only a few hours. The market is more fair than it's ever been in my opinion. Initially, it may have sucked, but as it stands now, it's good for the market. If you bought a player for over 200k that is now worth 90k only, you made a bad investment.

Well, I've managed to turn the Sounders into a super team by selling exclusively to PSG. Sold Dempsey and Obafemi in my first season to buy Yassine Benzia and Michy Batshuayi. Sold them to PSG for a combined 52 million. Used that money to buy Paco Alcacer. He was top scorer in my 2nd season and I sold him to PSG for 94 million. Invested that money to get De Bruyne, Arias, Vietto and Marquinhos.

Didnt realize this thread even existed. Long time FIFA player, Pro Clubs, UT and my favorite is Manager Mode. I'm not going to scroll through 40 pages to see if someone has brought this up yet but I found a way to get the most out of Manager Mode IMO.
I got the idea from Reddit and have been obsessed ever since. I put the top 20 teams in the world in the Premier League (your Bayern's, Barca's etc.) which can be done by going to Manager mode and pressing Y on Xbox. Then I put the next best group of teams in the Championship, then League 1 and 2. The ratings have changed but there is a table here to help out because it takes a fair amount of time to do.
This essentially turns the FA Cup and Capital One Cup into a Champions League like tournament but unfortunately without the massive cash reward.
I started with Ajax in League 2, because I like their kits and they are loaded with great potential players. I advanced to the Premier League in three years with relative ease but then that's where it gets fun. My first year in the BPL the board's goal was to not get relegated and I finished mid table. A few years later and a lot of good transfer moves and some of my Youth Academy players progressing nicely (sold a 21 year old RW to Man City for 95 mil) and I finally won the league.
My team in 2022 is:
--- Depay(83)---------- Milik(85)---------- Sterling(89)---
----------- Tielemans(86)------- Halilovic(87)------------
------------------------ Bazoer(83)----------------------
-- Aké(80)--- de Vrijj(88)--- Kongolo(85)---Batshuayi(84)--
----------------------- Cillessen(83)---------------------
Batshuayi is a RB from my YA that is an 84 ovr at 22!
My bench is loaded with YA guys in the mid 70's and a few 80's. I tried to make my signings early on realistic by only guys from the Netherlands or from other Eredivise teams but as I got into BPL I decided to change my policy a little. Once I sold that YA player for 95 mil, I replaced him with Sterling.
I use the Champion's League, now that I'm qualified, as a chance to play my young players since all the other teams in it are shite. I played Chievo Verona in the final last year and won 15 mil for it haha.
Sorry for the massive amount of text but I have had a few to drink and get wordy when I do. Hopefully someone finds this interesting enough to try out sometime.
TL:DR
made a super league like this and it's loads of fun.

Have won back to back EPL crowns with the Sky Blue. Liverpool were in first on the last day and lost and I won the league by 2 points. The streak lives on
Bought Depay that season during the winter window along with a player swap.
Now pushing to finally win the Champions League.
Brought Højbjerg back to the club. He went to City after I had him on loan for like 30 million. Got him for 20 and sent Pozo back to CIty. Højbjerg was just rotting away on their bench and Pozo was not happy anymore. Pozo has not got a match yet over there
Im starting to get bored and want to switch clubs. Problem is you can't fricking leave your club and become a free agent, and when I search for jobs its all clubs I have no interest in. Only ones that show up are England, Italy and Spain once in a while. I want to coach in Germany.

If you take the time to set it up, takes like 20 minutes to do, it is worthwhile. I just got sick of playing in leagues with only a few teams that could compete with me.
I also use some sliders I found here because World Class was too easy for the most part and Legendary is boring and unrealistically hard. I've been doing this Career for months now and haven't gotten bored yet because not only is the league competitive but with the sliders on the games play more like an actual match and less like a ping pong game.

All the FIFA scandal got my back into it. Been playing my Fulham manager mode. I'm still finding a balance between Professional and World Class difficulty. Brought in a couple of young players in the first window. Feeling good.

The best way to do this is to stick to Europe for your super league then plug in non European leagues like liga mx, mls, Argentina, etc into Germany/Italy/Spain so that the Champions League essentially becomes a club World Cup. Makes qualifying top 4 still meaningful.
