North Shore (I love this movie and I've never been on a surfboard)
American Flyers (this movie got me in to bike racing. I now know that is in no way represents actual bike racing)
Gung Ho (Way underrated Michael Keaton and Long Duck Dong)

Are you talking about that made-for-TV movie from the early 90's? If so, that movie is badass.

Excalibur
Excalibur is one of the greatest movies ever made and I can quote most of it. No other Arhurian legend movie has come close. Why in the world would you be ashamed of this movie?
I quote this movie often, primarily:
"I was not born to live a man's life but to be the stuff of future memory."
OR
"Any man who would be a knight and follow a king... follow me."
OR
"A king without a sword! A land without a king!"
I am re-watching this movie tonight.

I loved it and have told friends about it. It's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

I loved that it was filmed in the actual town that the play was written about. Bad accents and all, it still does a good job of showing what it's like to be "southern."

I love both Excalibur and The Odyssey...I guess I thought he meant sort of like a guilty pleasure...Both movies are dated a bit...

"Ashamed" is not the right word in my case - a little bit embarrassed might fit better. I really like a lot of the old Disney movies and full-length cartoon features - like...
Darby O'Gill and the Little People
Lady and the Tramp
Pinocchio
Snow White
Sleeping Beauty
The Swiss Family Robinson
The Shaggy Dog
Fantasia (1940)
Peter Pan
Older shorts, like...
The Reluctant Dragon
Lambert, the Sheepish Lion
The Wind in the Willows
Lonesome Ghosts
And some of the newer ones, like...
The Little Mermaid
Aladdin
The Lion King
Finding Nemo
But I'm not embarrassed to be a kid at heart, so...

Merlin looks nothing like Gandalf or Dumbledore.
A very young (early 20's) Liam Neeson, a young Helen Mirren, and Gabriel Byrne to go along with a somewhat haired Patrick Stewart. So much awesome in this movie. Getting a purely Shakespearean stage actor to play Merlin while wearing a metal cap was a stroke of genius. He was awesome.
