Cooper's a known commodity in the SEC, but bubble screens won't work against a LSU or UF secondary. Kiffin will have to open up the route tree with Cooper. As far as Dural, he still has a lot to prove, but he's shown that he's a big play WR.

They'll work often enough. It's a low risk high reward play.

Jennings has completed plenty of passes to people not named Dural. His stat of six catches should make that obvious.

Seriously. It seems everyone forgets the other completions he has thrown. Everyone claiming he just throws the long ball to Dural must have selective memory. Those passes to Diarse, Quin, Fournette and Dupre looked very good to me. In the Arkansas game he completed passes to WRs, RBs and TEs. He spread the ball around in his first meaningful opportunity. If ever he was going to focus on one option, it would have been then. In his first game he spread it more than Mett in his second year of starting.

If your first look is one on one against Dural long, that is the throw you take. No reason to check down. Not as long as it is working. Now if the competition stops that, then your first look is double covered, then you check down to Diarse, Quin, Fournette or a TE. Unlike some, I think its great we have established the long ball. And we have shown the ability to throw the intermediate pass. Still some work to do on the short pass. Jennings will be fine. And for that matter, so will Harris. Next year this time, we will have 2 of the better QBs in the SEC on our team sharing time. A double whammy for opposing Ds.

Completely different players. Cooper is playing the Marvin Harrison role while Dural is playing the Randy Moss role. Can't compare the two.

In two games, he has completed 16 passes...cooper has 25 catches, that's 9 more than AJ has completed...
Great bandwagon we have, but there is a lot of work to be done to be considered for Heisman or CFB Play-off...
love our team, but it is very young and inexperienced...Hopefully, we will get better before we go to Auburn, etc...
We have a good favorable schedule early, so that helps...

Bubble screens and POP and POL passes are executed after the linebackers bite on the run and there is no one to contest the pass. They are money, yds RAC, TOP, and tired defenses. They open up the running game, which we could not do until 5 players went down in the Wisc game. The Vertical long floaters to Dural look good now but he is staring down the receiver and not even looking for check-down wide open options. He either throws it long if Dural is open or throws it away. In SEC play Dural will be blanketed and that deep ball will not be there. If you want to see what happens just watch Mett last year in the first 17 minutes of the Ole Miss game stare down Beckham and throw 3 interceptions on 3 consecutive possessions into the endzone and his draft stock drop along with our NC chances. Mett had the strongest arm in the game and the double teams smothered the plays, just like our DBU would.

So if Dural had 25 catches he would have 16 TD's , hmmm

Les needs to get his crap together. If we threw the ball to TD on every down we would have a guaranteed national championship this year.

Cooper has proven himself with loads more PT than Dural. I think he's more polished all-around but I also don't think he's as adept as Dural at running the post or fly pattern. Dural has an extra gear that most college receivers do not have. No knock on Cooper who will play on Sunday's very soon.

Cooper's a thoroughbred with a lot of game film, which was exactly how he was projected out of HS. Great route runner and after the catch. Was running close to a 4.3 forty this summer apparently. Got high 1st round pick written all over him.

Dural is pretty impressive too, but a little early to make the call on his prospects yet

75% of them are within 5 yards of the LOS. He runs very good routes and has excellent quickness

Great analogy, although I don't think Cooper is incapable of going downfield. That offense is just playing to the strengths of Blake Sims. I remember him making more plays downfield when AJ was their QB. Dural just takes the top off the defense though. He gets downfield so quickly and can use his size to make the catch. He's been impressive when he's gotten on the field.
