Not in September, but in November, December, and January, we do a 1-day survey of selected habitats in NW LA. See paragraph 6 of the COMMENTS section of the document at: LINK

Don't worry, the birds we are seeing are almost all adult males (the first bluewings to migrate), and as of yesterday, the Dakotas were still ate-up with bluewings. So not only haven't they passed through, according to my colleague in North Dakota, they aren't showing any obvious signs of wanting to leave there.
