Look at this in a completely unbiased manner.

Using the images and data collected over the years, apply math and probability, it's not that difficult to imagine that there is other forms of intelligent life.

When it comes to God, standard scientific principles can't be used. Why? Because absolutely nothing exist for them to study.
There's no images, no data has ever been collected, no proof of existence, no artifacts. There is absolutely nothing that you can plug into an equation to show the likelyhood of existence.
People will argue that the Bible is proof. Again, I ask you to look at the Bible in an unbiased manner.
The Bible is the culmination of scriptures and writings from humans. These are people who were far less advanced than we are today. A lot of things happen today that we think nothing of. Those same events took place back then as well and they had no other way to justify or explain the event.

Try to imagine knowing absolutely nothing more than survival skills and experiencing an earthquake. No one around you has any idea what just happened or why, there's no recorded history at this point in time. How are you supposed to justify the event? Someone says it was God, that makes more sense to you than anything else you can imagine so you follow suit.

It's this same mindset and lack of scientific knowledge that wrote these scriptures back then.

To top it off, someone else put them together and created what is known as the Bible. It's also well documented that this same person or group of people also omitted numerous scriptures that offer a conflicting view of the ones that were placed in the bible.
Look up the missing scriptures that were recently found in Turkey. It was written by a disciple and states that Jesus was not the son of God, he was merely a prophet. I think it's clear why this was never put into the Bible when they selected what was going in.

Look at things from this standpoint and it's not that difficult for scientist to say they are certain God doesn't exist.
Show then some tangible data, they will study it and can then put a number on the probability of existence.

I'm not saying I do or don't believe in God, just stating why scientist are able to make their statements on it.

I think you will find that most scientists think that life probably exists somewhere and that God probably doesn't. That's the most logical conclusion based on the evidence we currently have.

Which gods are you referring to? Humans believe in many gods. If you are referring to a creator then most scientist would probably say that there is no evidence either way. I dont think any would say with 100% certainty there is no creator.

What's your definition of God? I believe in a creative intelligence behind the Universe. I don't believe in the ridiculous manmade image of "god" that religions describe with human emotions and characteristics.
