These people are a phenomenon that no amount of science or research will ever understand.

Call and speak to Directv's customer retention department and tell them you are canceling because Dish has Redzone included in their packages. Once you threaten to go to Dish they will hook you with Sunday ticket. If you haven't they won't give to you for free ask for credits to offset the cost. I haven't paid for Sunday Ticket in 7 years and I do this for my family.

Redzone is included in my package. Being a national account might be the difference. I just wish they would set it up for me not to have to pay out of store. I get MLB like that.

I got it last season for iPad and iPhone. Not sure if I'm going to do the same this year.

Read my post above you. It's fairly easy and works best if you have been a customer for a few years and if your contract is up.

Tell them Charter is paying your early dismissal fee so you not worried about that. Charter paid mine.

If that's the only possible way I can watch the game, absolutely.

Usually involves the wife nagging about watching football all day and hogging the TV.

Don't think we have Charter in BR. If they called my bluff, I would be in an awkward moment on the phone and they will be snickering in the background.

It's really for people to watch the other non local football teams. I like the Patriots so I don't get to watch them very much without Sunday Ticket.

How about call and actually cancel the grease pit that is Direct TV?
