Making a pit stop on my way back home in a week. Have sadly never been there. Was going to get some Andouille, hogs head cheese, boudin, and a loaf of French bread to make some bread pudding.

I've heard there is a lot more to the store than a meat market. Any other can't miss items I should look into?

I'd pass on the boudin and get that at Billy's

Smoked boudin at Best Stop is pretty damn good. Then to to Billy's for boudin balls and cracklins.

The boudin balls and cracklins at Billy's about 3 miles South on the same highway, but across the interstate.

The Best Stop has seen its better days and has been surpassed in my opinion. Don't waste your time or your money there just for MEH product when the good stuff is so close and much easier to get to.

I like Best stops stuffed pork chops, seafood dressing stuffed deboned chicken and the chaudin.

I was lucky to have found venison and brisket sausage (in the same casing) with Steen's cane syrup the last time I was there.
