It's hard to believe it's already been 7 years. I remember that day like it was yesterday....mainly because it was also the first game of Alabama football with Nick Saban at the helm.

Great thread. Towards the end of the year when OSU was finished with the regular season I remember the Bucks being on the bubble for the natty. I was at a wedding reception the night Pitt beat WVU and shite just got crazy after they announced the final score.

Honestly, two best teams were UGA and LSU
But the final two should have been UGA and OSU
This is about the time I started really wanting a playoff, because it's situation like this where there was no way the the best teams were playing each other

College football hasn't been the same since the 05 season that ended with Texas-USC in the Rose Bowl. It's been going downhill ever since.
