I'll get your number. I am leaving the client today so I will be back in town and should have some freedom by then.

I'll be hitting the links at Memorial, then probably Saint Arnold and Flying Saucer that evening.

Houston people: How is Anvil - Bar and Refuge?
Looks similar to Cure in New Orleans. It's 0.4 miles from dinner Friday night, so I kinda want to check it out.

Anvil is great. Great cocktails, nice rustic place with a cool atmosphere. It does get crowded though. Comparing it to cure I would take cure, but because of the sexier atmosphere. In terms of cocktails, they're both world class.
I recommend it.

Anvil is good...lots of craft cocktails. It'll be crowded and parking is a bitch.
The Pastry War and Julep are other craft cocktail places you might be interested in. Alba Huerta was a bartender at Anvil then left and started Pastry and Julep.

Good to know
We won't drink and drive most likely, so parking shouldn't be an issue.

What fest?
I'm mainly going for my friends birthday.

It's good. Beer list at PS and FS is slightly better, but I enjoy the food / atmosphere better at BMC. They have a lot of great stuff though, most notably Yellow Rose. I really like it.

Nice, it's right next store to where I'll be staying.

Ya you're really splitting hairs with deciding between PS, FS, HM, BMC and places like that. They're all good, just subtle differences between them.

Found out what fest I assume you were referring to.
Yes. That's exactly why I'll be there.
