Land plus nostalgia. There's so much money here someone will bite in that range

Well Alan Jackson did get $28,000,000.00 for his house a few years back..about 3 miles away from Franklin proper.
However it has a couple more bedrooms...

The listing featured 18,600 square feet of living space, a 20-car garage, gymnasium, log cabin, barn, man-made lake and boathouse. The Jacksons built the home on an old horse farm they bought in 1993, and even at $28 million, it is the single biggest residential sale in the Nashville area since the late ’90s. The previous record holder was Tanya Tucker‘s 500-acre Williamson County home, which she sold in 2007 for $11.4 million. It is now being turned into a golf course, with her home serving as the clubhouse.

you got another suggestion?
please take into account the following:
- great schools
- amazing people; everyone is nice
- great climate..lots of cool fronts in the summer
- great geography..if you're a biker or a cyclist or car enthusiast you won't find more scenic roads
- amazing restaurant scene
- booming downtown nearby..the condo scene, new baseball stadium, east nashville renisasance and convention center located just 20 miles up the road
- SEC town..you can watch LSU play baseball or football and simply drive to the games 30 minutes before they start no traffic.
- did i mention the people are nice? even the ones working at sonic and burger king?

what does it matter what celebrities live here?
miley didn't move here..she grew up here and was a prima donna from when she was little. she and my wife took horseback riding lessons at the same place and she was a little shite to everyone else.

Mt. Juliet (Charlie Daniels and Guy Clark) > Franklin
That Brentwood/Franklin traffic is horrible. Franklin isn't "the country" anymore. Any OT baller would not want to see a main road or another house from his back porch. By some land in the White's Creek area or Eastern part of Wilson County (Watertown).

fixed it yo
thompson station residents (about 10-12 miles south of franklin) have legit traffic issues but not franklin & brentwood.
what are you smoking? its a 15 minute drive from brentwood TOPS to downtown and depending on where you live in franklin, add about 10 minutes more. traffic only starts building where the road narrows south of cool springs galleria..and only during rush hour. in the mornings you're up to full speed by the time you pass old hickory all the way into downtown.
of course i dont typically have to worry because i live on the west side/best side and we fricking never have traffic coming in from bellevue.
also hillsboro road is a great alternative in the mornings..i took it for 2 years when my son was in school near franklin and it was pretty easy as well.

You are seriously the first and only person that has ever said this.

Like Baton Rouge's plague of tract housing communities like Santa Maria and Bocage right?
Where was I defending BR? Why did you bring that into the conversation? I don't even live in BR.

And a majority of Franklin is still zoned 1 Acre and 5 Acre tracts
You want to back that up with some data? A large portion of the residential zoned properties are R-2 and R-3, which are medium and high density.

But I bet you used the public school system while here.
BGA ain't exactly a public school.

I was there about a month ago. I'm in Nashville frequently and still have some friends that live in Franklin and the surrounding areas.

I'm with you and I'm not. I agree about Franklin. I find eastern Davidson and western Wilson County to be pretty ugly. Too much rock and cedar for ym tastes. I much prefer going west into places around the Davidson/Cheatham/Williamson intersection.

I only know what wikipedia knows...so keep Arkansas a dry state on wiki and the people who like to party will stay out.

I think all I said was that Tennessee had hard working, hard partying people. Said because the whole state isn't liquor free unlike yours.
