No Im from Louisiana, my Grandmother probably went to her grave thinking that it was true also. She used to say that God made them put their hands against the wall because he was scared that they would steal everything in heaven. I think a preacher told her that.

A failed experiment. Like someone in the Cosmic Lab up there fricked up on an epic scale.
We are the result.

I did find that they have added a fourth that I was never taught and that is Australoid.
This is all from Anthropology class, as I recall, which is why I placed the term "race" in quotes. There does appear to be some very minor genetic differences between the races, which is probably to do with mate selection in a given area.

Sub Saharan Africans diverged and evolved differently due to being separated by the Saharan desert up until the Egyptians found them.
I suppose Europeans and Asians had their own separation although they eventually converged/reunited.
Native Americans diverged because they were across the ocean.

Imagine her dismay when she got to heaven and discovered god wasn't white.
Calm down it was only a joke

What really bothered me was that he was a moose.
That one threw me for a loop.

The honest and truest answer is about 2,014 years ago humans became prideful and tried to build a tower reaching to Heaven to be with God. God, who didn't see this one coming, decided to change all of their languages so they could no longer communicate. Somehow this disrupted their master plan of building a tower to reach upward.
Anyway, they scattered to different parts of the world and some were in the sun longer than others. Thus different races and languages.

I believe that the explanation can be traced back to the Bible, and Noah's three sons: Ham, Shem, and Japheth. I think I spelled their names correctly, but anyway. If I remember correctly, Ham is the father of the African nation, Japheth is the father of the Caucasian/European nation, and Shem is the father of the Asian nation.
All races/nationalities can be traced to these three men. Native Americans originally came from Asia, so they are the descendants of Shem. Hispanic/Latino peoples of Central and South America are a mixture of Asian/European, being descendants of indigenous Americans and Spanish/Portuguese.
So that's how the races came to be, from the three sons of Noah. Because, Noah and his family were the only surviving humans after the Great Flood, so they repopulated the Earth. I know everyone will not agree with this, but this is what I believe. I hope it helped answer your question!
Did you just really post this in a thread dedicated to science that's secular as hell?

Hey, most of you guys may think it's crazy, but it's what I believe, and if you're a Christian who believes in the Bible, you'll understand why I feel this way. I mean, it makes sense to me. There were three sons, who were the fathers of three distinct nations. There has been a lot of mixing between the races, but the fact is, there were and still are only three that all derive from. Think about it this way, look at the seven continents:
Africa- (descendants of Ham)
Asia- (descendants of Shem)
Europe- (descendants of Japheth)
Those three continents is where human life began and from where people extended outwards.
Australia- (mixture of African, Asian, and European)
The Americas (North, Central, and South)- The first inhabitants of the Americas were people from Asia who became known as Native Americans. All the Indian tribes of North America, plus the Aztec, Inca, and Maya of Central and South America all came from ASIA. African and European people later came to North, Central, and South America.
Antarctica- Well, obviously no one came from Antarctica, but technically it is the seventh continent, so there ya go.
So call me crazy, down-vote this as much as y'all want, but it's what I believe and I feel it does explain a lot!

How long ago was the flood? Weird how incredibly diverse humankind became in a few thousand years. Aborigines, Native Americans, Orientals, africans, europeans, etc. I guess all that evidence that humans migrated over the Bering Straight 12,000 years go must be fabricated.

Scientifically, there are no "various human races." There is only one. Skin color is as superficial as hair color or eye color.

The Human Genome Project has discovered that there is more genetic variation within "racial" categories than between them.
That means the entire concept of race has no basis in genetics. None.

No it hasn't. Forensic anthropology still refers to the various "races" (note the quotation marks) as Mongoloid, Caucasoid, Negroid, and Australoid. It's just a means of classification.
Otherwise, you are correct that there are studies that show there is no genetic variation between the "races". There are others that indicate there is a very small amount of genetic variation, which, as I said earlier, is probably to do with mate selection.
The former may be correct as it seems there may be more genetic variation between an Ashkenazi Jew and a German than there is between a Japanese man and a German, despite both the Ashkenazi Jew and the German being Caucasoid. But really, both findings are correct because that has to do with mate selection.
