Taking a Trip to Houston in mid September. We are staying in the Woodlands.
These are the courses we have been recommended:
1) Tour 18
2) Cypresswood
3) Blackhorse
Have any of you played at these courses? Would you recommend any others or any beside these?
Thanks!

Blackhorse isn't that close. Tour 18 is cool. Not the nicest course but it's fun to check out

I played tour 18 a couple of times last summer when I lived there. It was a lot of fun playing the iconic holes on tour. The it is pretty expensive during the early tee times and if you don't have a 3 or 4 some they will pair you up with some other people. Number 4 was my favorite hole on the course.

I still haven't played tour 18 because I hear it's almost always a 5-6 hour round. I also hear it's a very cool experience if you are familiar with the holes.
Cypresswood is awesome, and I enjoy both courses, but as a visitor who won't have multiple rounds, go with the Tradition course.
I think one of the courses at the Woodlands country club is public.

Forgot about Augusta Pines. I liked this course a lot. It was in perfect shape when I played in march, which was unseasonably cold this and most other courses were still recovering from the dormant winter.

A daily rate course in that area of town and only can play one round: Cypresswood Traditons course.

I think Augusta Pines is better than those - and closer. Out of those you listed, Cypresswood and Blackhorse are generally in better shape than T18. Cypresswood The Tradition Course is the best course for the money around.
