Can the Saints top Denver in offense from last season?

QB: Brees is on the same level or just a step below Manning at this point but Drew has been one of best 3 QB's over the last 5 years
RB: No one expected that kind of output from Moreno last year. Ingram turned it on the last 6 games last year and the Saints still have Thomas, Robinson, and Cadet which I think is a better group than what Denver had last year.
WR: This is where Denver has a big advantage, the Saints have no one who can match DT88 and Decker was almost a #1 himself (He isn't but he put up #1 numbers) The Saints have Colston who is solid, Stills who is improving and showed great promise, Toon who should see an improvement, and the wild card in Cooks who is just a playmaker by nature. The Saints appear deeper than Denver last season but they may lack that true #1.
TE: This is the Saints biggest advantage.... Jimmy Graham is a monster at TE. Yes he suffers from occasional alligator arms but outside of a healthy Gronk no one in the league can match him. Denver has a very good TE themselves in Thomas but he is at least 2 notches below Graham as a receiver.
Offensive Line: Denver last year suffered a few injuries on their line but they still held their own. it helped that Manning has such pocket awareness and a quick release as it helped him avoid sacks. Brees imo tends to hold onto the ball a little longer hoping to find a receiver and takes a bit more sacks because of this. However, the Saints have one of the best offensive lines in pass protection in the NFL so I count this as a wash.
So can the Saints outscore what Denver did last year?

I don't think they'll top what Denver did last year but I expect our offense to do very well. I also don't think we need to do as well as they did to win a bunch of games and possibly a Super Bowl.
.....but ill be VERY happy if we do top them....

I actually think its because Drew can't see over the line as well as Manning due to height and sometimes has to wait for passing lanes to open up.

Denver was a lot of short passing, but they had guys who could get YAC. They didn't run it very well.
I envision this offense pounding the opponent into submission. I see an emphasis on short to medium routes, and take our shots downfield at times. I see us being very efficient. I don't know if we'll break any records though.

Can the Saints top Denver in offense this season?
Don't care at all TBH.
I want to be balanced run vs pass (as we have all said once or twice) and to be top ten in TO differential.
The final icing on the cake would be home field advantage.

i say no but i think we can top them for this season, mannings arm is slowly getting worse so thats not good, but they are also throwing more flags so theres no holding by the DBs. we just have to see.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Denver set a record for points per game and points per season. I don't think they broke the Saints 2011 yardage records.
Anyway, I think the Saints will be more committed to run-pass balance to set any kind of offensive records.
I'm hopeful they will be so efficient that they can score a shitload of points per game just so that none of the games are nail biters .
It'd be nice to have some shutouts or near shutouts from the defense.

But on a serious note, I am concerned about the Sproles factor- you can't say yet how much losing him factors in; Cooks has potential and has looked good in practice, but he has to show it in games. The O-line gave up more sacks than usual last year, but if JA continues to improve, they will be ok.

I don't think they will outscore Denver from a year ago, but will outscore Denver's team this season.
