Probably true. I'm just saying that I expect better conflict management skills from an officer. There are a lot of steps between escalating and dead kid. Might be a legit kill. Still, anyone who doesn't at least want to make sure that the cop did everything he could to control the situation before he shot multiple times isn't thinking clearly, either. All we have is an officer statement. Ill wait for crime scene results and an investigation.

I find it pretty amazing that nothing has been released or leaked in the investigation.
No one knows the name of the cop.
No one knows the race of the cop.
No one knows a damn thing about the actual incident.
That being said, there are racially-fuelled riots occurring nightly in STL and a 120+ page thread on the OT.

I'm jus pointing out how a black kid can viewed as older and more responsible for his actions than he appears to be. Psychologically that is what the officer may have been viewing the situation. And No it's not right nor is it fair

There's nothing wrong with him posting examples of people doing the right thing here. There are plenty of people posting the wrong way to handle this situation in the thread. We should be encouraging the people that are taking a peaceful approach to this. Too much attention to the idiots. I'm glad to see some posts about cooler heads.
