I'm not dropping $300 for Beats headphones.
Can I get some that are quality for less than $85-100? Is this unreasonable?

What are you plugging the headphone into? What's your source?

These are supposed to be the best headphones for the price. However I cannot personally vouch for them.

First of all, Beats and quality don't belong in the same sentence.
Good brands include:
Etymotic
Sennheiser
Shure
Higher end Sony
Klipsch
Audio Technica
To name a few.
Bose aren't as bad as Beats, but are still overpriced for what they are.

I like the way Bose over-the-ear headphones fit. Beats just feel weird in my ears.
TBH, I haven't tried other brands, so I have nothing else to compare mine with. I like my Bose, but there are probably cheaper brands that are just as good. I do regret not getting a wireless set.

$109
Audio Technica ATH-M50. These will have the best reviews for headphones around that price. I have a pair and they're fantastic. They have another model with a removable cable, but it's an extra $50+. I turned my ATH-M50's into a removable pair with a little ingenuity. Regardless, for $109 these would be very hard to beat.

Audio-Technica ATH-M40x. Got mine from Guitar Center for $99.
Incredible sound, light weight, comfortable, great build quality.
