Conference Expansion to 16 is a possibility

This new rule means more opponents need in the SEC conference. The SEC needs to add a couple teams, Not elite teams, just good teams.
With all 65 teams having to play JUST each other, I think afew teams need to be added to the SEC. They need 2 more to add to make for a more rounded league.
Maybe 2 of these:
1.SMU - Dallas market
or
2.Rice - Houston market
3.East Carolina - if no other North Carolina team wants to come to the SEC.
4. Virginia - Tell the ACC to take a walk.
5. Maybe Tulsa - just to be in Oklahoma.
If I could pick any of the above: Give me-
SMU
and
NC State
I see an issue developing with teams in the Big 10, ACC, Big 12, and Pac 12 not wanting to play an SEC Elite team. You think Indiana or Iowa St or Wake Forest wants to add a team like LSU, Auburn, Florida to there schedule ? They want to play Vandy, Kentucky, or Missouri ... So LSU, Florida, and Alabama and the likes will have to Schedule Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Iowa, Clemson, etc... But will these teams want to play us ?? I think they will avoid SEC elite teams on purpose leaving us in a pinch.
Slive better get to work.

Nah I'm good

If adding to SEC, Southern Miss must be the first choice.

SMU is not going to draw enough of the Dallas market to make difference. Do you know how low SMU is on the list for Dallas Sports fans?
Rice is also totally irrelevant for Houston Sports fans.
If you want to make a splash, go get Florida State and Clemson.

you got that out of the new NCAA ruling?

Texas A&M will NEVER vote for SMU or Rice.

No more expansion for my taste, but if we HAVE to expand, we would add teams like Virginia Tech/NC State to expand into those states. You can be assured that no team from any current state represented will be invited.

Nah bruh listen here. We'd get OU, VT, NC, or some big schools like that.

Clemson and University of Louisiana

Not gonna happen, but if it did, it's all about conference footprint. We're not adding any more Texas schools. If we had to, I'd take NC State and Virginia Tech, to get NC and VA.

this has got to be the worst list ever assembled. the only school worth a shite on that whole list is UVA, whom have absolutely no reason to leave the ACC. the ACC is one of the "power conferences" ya know.

2:36 p.m. seems a tad early to be wasted. You could at least try to make it past mid-afternoon.

SEC Network now needs content and star appeal.
Who brings the SEC Network national appeal or who do you want to see LSU play?
Texas
Oklahoma
FSU
Clemson
North Carolina
Rice
Baylor
SMU

I completely disagree with everything in your post (except that it's a possibility).
you are naming crappy teams with very low fan bases or teams in lousy tv markets.
as far as elite teams in other conference playing elite teams in the SEC it doesn't happen often now. and many of those are at neutral sites. it's the money. the lower tier teams will still play the elite teams so they can get a big payday.
imo, you aren't following the money. college football is about the money. it's sad to me but I can always just not go to games or not watch on tv if I don't like it. I THINK I will always watch LSU football but if the future determines we field a pure pro team, i'll probably watch other sports.
